She says she relaxes her hair every 3-4 weeks (WTF?), doesn't have a regimen and only puts in moisturiser when she blowdries her hair. She blowdries and straightens it everytime she washes (which she says is 1-3 times a week).

Man oh man, how does she have such long and healthy hair??

In looking at her blowdrying video, she takes care of her ends and protect them with moroccan oil, and she's gentle with her hair. Looks like she has a good regimine for HER.

Frequent washings did wonders for me. I didn't relax that often, but every 8 weeks on the dot. I also did a lot of DC's, HOTS, and aphogee'd after every relaxer--but man oh man did I have some hair!

ETA: Just looked at the vid. Eh, I've seen better. Her hair could be a lot longer given the relative thickness and health of the rest of her hair. She's got some breakage around the sides, too. Nice hair, though. She'll probably pay for it later, unless she gets really good DC's and protective styles.

shrinkage.
some people's hair does better when it is straight because there is less opportunity for damage. plus she probably only relaxes a little of her roots and then straightens it again. then it is probably heavily weighed down or moisturized with oil and she probably leaves it alone after that. i can see how straight hair as a low manip regimen could lead to healthy hair.

Which video did you see the breakage on? Thanks.

Her hair is very pretty. Like some of the others mentioned some people just have that super strong hair(genetics) others have the opposite and there are many inbetween.

because the LHCF rules are not the only way to have long, healthy hair. Thanks for the video link, OP *subscribing*

She says she gets trimmed every month, so I think if she wanted longer hair, she could have it by just not trimming.
And I dont see any breakage either :/

In the one in the link. Look around the top. and sides, pieces are sticking out. Her hair also seems a little on the thin side, which leads me to believe she probably has more breakage that is concealed by the straightness of her hair. This a classic heat damage effect, which is why women coming out of Dominican salons have such flawless hair and regular customers coming in have pieces sticking up and breakage all over. The straightness helps to hide the damage.

Some people got it like that... Thats how I feel about women that eat what ever they want and don't exercise.... While I struggle on the treadmill to look fit

When my hair was relaxed, I relaxed it every 4 weeks. I rarely moisturised it, and with products that I know now to be bad. I blow dryed and flat ironed every time I relaxed it...and in between! I dyed it too!:look:

My hair was always APL-MBL.....and HEALTHY!

So, It really depends on the natural strength of the person's hair on what it can handle.

Her and her hair are gorgeous. She has some strong strands and clearly it works well for her. If I did her regimen I would have sparsely-spaced-stringy-crying-for-help hair.

P.S I love how quickly she does the bantu knots. For some reason that fascinated me.

I think her hair looks great. I don't notice any thinning that some people are claiming. Is there nitpicking going on just because she doesn't follow a typical LHCF regimen that can involve tons of maintenance that the majority of people on here follow?

She's 22.:look: I could do all kinds of things to my hair at that age and never really see much damage and it still grew thick and long. And she actually takes care of her hair. With a good health, diet, and pampering hair at that age is very resilent. Throw in genetics too. Now, I wouldn't even try it. :nono:

Plus if she is trimming and relaxing as often as she says she is, I bet her hair grows 1-2 inches a month. You can't relax what hasn't grown in.

EAT: YEP! Confirmed she get's 1.5" a month. Fastforward to 3:55. :spinning:

I watched her relaxer video and that's exactly how I do my relaxer, except I only use my fingers. I do my edges last. Pretty all around.

I know some other people who do their relaxers like that too. I can't though. My front edges would burn too quickly.

Don't get me wrong. She has nice hair, but it definitely could be a little fuller and shinier. Her hair looks to me like a typical dominican blow-out customer, but a little healthier. I think her other methods of taking care of her hair are keeping it looking good. I'm skeptical about the growth rate, b/c if she took such good care of her ends, they wouldn't break at a rate to keep her hair at that length. Sorry, I don't mean to be negative, I guess I just expected to see more when I came into the post. Just be wary of adopting her methods, as they definitely have some damage potential--for some. Other things--like frequent washing, might work. Maybe that is the key to accelerated growth? I dunno.

She said her hair grows longer but she keeps it cut at that length and with the layers because more hair is too much for her to handle.
