This video shows the history of her hair..okay her and her sisters all have a full head of hair ar least 4" looks like to me at a year old.. genetics do play a part in this hair thang..like it or not. My BFF has gorg hip length hair.. she does nothing but gets a wash and set every 2 weeks but shes always had LONG hair. Her daughter was born with at least 2 " of hair. For the rest of us..:look:..but OP ur ponytail is fiyah!

That's LaurenMechelle! I follow her videos on youtube and she's very sweet and down to earth. Funny, I never noticed her regimen before until it was mentioned on here. Oh well. Her hair is still gorgeous!

My relaxed hair was awesome It had body, was thick, APL (my favorite length), and I use to flat iron the hell out of that hair and it never failed me.. If I were to relax again, I probably would be blow-drying and flat ironing weekly... I wouldn't relax again though.. :look:

Hi! I'm new here! I used to have resilient hair as well. I relaxed every 6-8 weeks and went to Dominican salons every weekend where I let them take me from the sink to the chair to blow my hair out from soaking wet to bone dry and straight. I always had full, healthy hair with no issues.

I moved from NY to FL. Suddenly I started having major thinning. Hair was breaking off all over the bathroom floor. I freaked out and started buying out Sallys trying to find something to stop the breakage. The change in climate, coupled with the water which seems to strip my hair to straw doesn't allow me to take that much heat anymore. I stopped relaxing, and stopped using heat. My hair is slowly getting back its fullness.

I say it's genetics. All the women in my family have very resistant, full hair. I cringed when I saw her raking in that relaxer with her nails. I'm not sure her hair can withstand that for a lifetime. I know mine couldn't.

omg her hair is gorgeous!!!! im deff subscribing. Her regimen seems pretty simple and seems to work for her.
pre-LHCF I used to wash my hair once a week,DC,and then eithr roller set or straighten my hair and wouldnt do anything else to it until the nxt week.Every 2weeks i'd go to my stylist and she would wash&set my hair.i would get my touchups every 9weeks&trim every 1-2months and my hair was MBL&always thick, shiny, and healthy.
Ever since ive joined LHCF ive been doing so much stuff to it,using so many unnecessary products,&trying to stretch my relaxers to freaking 12wks.As a result last weekend i had to cut my hair from almost WL to 2inches past BSL [ishould prob change my siggy pic lol] because my hair was damaged, thin, and scraggly looking. Im currently getting rid of all the unnecessary products i bought and i just called my stylist after not seeing her for 1yr to schedule an appointment so ican get my hair back to the way it used to be.
Everyones hair is different so i can see why her regimen works for her

I luv her videos. She and her hair are stunning! The KEY IMO is her SKILLS. Everything she does is on level with a professional.

She's 22.:look: I could do all kinds of things to my hair at that age and never really see much damage and it still grew thick and long. And she actually takes care of her hair. With a good health, diet, and pampering hair at that age is very resilent. Throw in genetics too. Now, I wouldn't even try it. :nono:

Plus if she is trimming and relaxing as often as she says she is, I bet her hair grows 1-2 inches a month. You can't relax what hasn't grown in.

EAT: YEP! Confirmed she get's 1.5" a month. Fastforward to 3:55. :spinning:

Wait, what? I didn't even know people's hair really grows that fast. Even on here, the most above avg you usually hear of is 1 inch.

She went to the same college as I attend and was in my online class.

How I recognized her from Yelp. She wrote a review about a salon, and I inquired about it. I then saw her in the online class discussion board (we had to post pictures), and we then ended up putting everything together. Interesting, I didn't know she had a channel.

Her hair looks fine to me. I couldnt do it because the relaxer process is too lengthy for me. Plus most of my hair shrinks up so I would overlap too much.

Yeah I dont think she gets that much a month. From what I saw she looked to have about 1/2inch MAYBE 3/4 of an inch. I think she over estimated. She said in another video she might be a 3bc so the relaxed hair pulling it down makes it seem like more.

At around the the 6:23 mark when she was applying the relaxer it was a bi tclearer how much NG she had and it did not look like 1 1/2 inches.

I know a girl who gets 1 inch a month and it did not look like Laurens.

I think her hair looks great. I don't notice any thinning that some people are claiming. Is there nitpicking going on just because she doesn't follow a typical LHCF regimen that can involve tons of maintenance that the majority of people on here follow?

LOL. I'm the only one claiming thinning, and no, I'm not nitpicking. I'm pretty generous with my compliments, which is why I find this thread perplexing. There are people responding to this post with longer, healthier hair than hers. I will reiterate that she has nice hair, but it does not look thick (not buying the layers thing) and this 1.5 inches/month growth rate I'm gonna go ahead and call BS. Look at her hair journey vid from when she was going to her stylist regularly.

Compare the fullness of her hair in that video to how it is in the giveaway vid. I know I'm not crazy...well, OK, I'm a little crazy, but that girl's hair is not as thick and it's shorter now than it was then. If you're wondering what I'm talking about just compare those two vids. It's pretty evident. All in all, the girl has nice looking hair. I just wasn't as impressed--and largely due to some of the heads I've seen on here!

I have a friend with BEAUTIFUL BSL hair who self-relaxes root to tip every six weeks and uses color. Some girls have all the luck!

Nique92 Gurl I am soooooo with you on this (bolded). Man pre-lhcf I had APLish EVEN hair. My last two relaxer updates were a complete disaster, because I was protective styling so d@mn hard that I didn't even realize my hair was breaking in the process O.O. Plus my last REAL trim was givin by my stylist about a year ago :look:. I'm currently making plans to get back up with her so that she can freshen up my ends and I am going to start completely over. I will start by getting rid of some of my useless products as well! lol.

Because it's really thick. People with thick hair can do just about anything and have long healthy hair, as long as they're not outright abusing it.

Coarse strands? If the strands are stronger they'd withstand more. I've got thick hair, but these strands are normal and could not withstand her regimen.

I love her hair!!! Her hair thickness is exactly what I am aiming for... not too thick, not too thin.
