Aww sorry you missed it. It ended at midnight today.

I also want to say that hotcombs.net has excellent customer service, I placed an order during the sale and then changed my mind because of @judy4all 's review of the magic lady star, I didn't feel the need for 2 seperate combs for phase 2 and 3 of the 3comb smooth method when the lady star had them combined in one comb.

Anyway, I emailed after I had placed my order to see if I could modify, not even expecting to still be able to use my discount come Monday (since it was a weekend).

They responded to me very promptly on Monday and acknowledged that the sale was over, cancelled my order and said I could re-place my order and they created a seperate sale code for me since my original order was placed during the sale.

Thought I'd share as I appreciate excellent customer service.

Oh I also got the HS6450 tail comb and already own the magic jumbo rake which I love!

ceecy29 I must agree. They will go all out to make their customers happy. I had an issue trying to order during another sale and the item ended up selling out. I called customer service and they put me on the the list to be emailed when it came in. Plus, they still gave me a discount and free shipping for the backordered item.

MsAminta I journal about a few combs that I like on my LHCF blog. Hope the info can help you in some way. I love my all of my combs -- magic rake, hair sense bone comb and the others I mention. I don't use my Ouidad as much but will whip it out when necessary.

divachyk Thanks for providing the link to your blog post. It is very helpful. I already ordered my magic star but knowing me...I will probably try out the hair sense bone comb sometime in the near future.

I haven't tried their sleep cap. My sleep cap has an adjustable string. Maybe that would help it stay on your head? Think I got it from Walmart.

My combs arrived today! I'm braided right now and my DD is twisted so it'll be a week or two before I can try them out.

I have the sleep cap. It is okay but I will not order another one in the future. The inside of the cap is very smooth (satin-like) as compared to the outer fabric. The only issue that I have is that it shifts a lot along my hairline. If I don't tie it tightly it shifts around and rubs my hairline. When I tie the string tight enough to make it stay put (which is not overly tight) I wake up with ridges along my hairline/face. It works best for me if I tie a silk scarf on first to protect my hairline then place the cap over the scarf, so that the edge is actually resting on the scarf and not my hairline.

The customer services is fantastic! I placed 2 orders in one day (one in the morning and one later that afternoon). Customer service contacted me to let me know that they were going to combine my orders so that I would not have to pay for shipping & handling twice. I thought that was very nice of them to do without my having to ask.

thanks for the info about the sleep cap. it sounds about like the Maverickwear ones that i have. i really like them, but i have to use snap hair clips to keep it on. i can't stand that line!

I bought all 3 combs for the 3 comb smooth. They cost me about $30 which is overpriced for 3 combs in my opinion. My experience : they all worked well in smoothing and detangling my (wet) hair, in reality : I have gotten the same results using paddle and denman brushes. Now that I know better I can get the same results with combs that I purchases from walmart, all I use is a wide tooth comb first then a finer one on mostly blowdried hair. I only use a fine rattail comb for chasing the flat iron.

I am eagerly awaiting mine! Let us know how you like them. :)

I used my combs on dd last night. She'd been in mini twists for 4 weeks. I did not detangle before shampooing...not sure if it would have made a difference. At any rate, I parted into quads and after applying leave in to a section, I used magic star rake to detangle and distribute product. I then separated each quad into thirds to put chunky twists in...I used lady star to comb each small section before twisting.

I liked the way the comb glided through the hair with no force. My dd didnt complain about pulling or being hurt. Shed hair significantly decreased from previous takedowns and wash days.

all_1_length Although the other combs detangle just as well, I like the fact that these are seamless. No worrying about microscopic snagging and pulling on my strands. I get enough of that with the rough skin on my hands. :look:

adrienne0914 The sleep cap is a waste of money, in my opinion. Nice concept but not practical. It doesn't stay on all night and the "drawstring" sucks.

I really like the lady star

I got this during the last sale and haven't used it yet, since I'm in braids. I hope I like it. I figured I'd get this to use for phases 2 and 3 of the 3 smooth method, instead of getting 3 different combs. We'll see.
