How Do I Prep My Hair For My Deva Cut?

They said come with no product in my hair.

I was thinking to cowash the night before, leaving deep condition in my hair all night, then in the morning rinsing and going....

Anybody else have tips?

Thanks!

When I went the hair needs to be dry. So be mindful of that.
My hair tends to shape a bit better and stay softer when it air dries than when I sit under the dryer or diffuse. So I just did a wash and steam conditioned then sealed with a bit of oil the night before and when it was mostly dry I did a pineapple and fluffed it the morning before my appointment.
The guy was great he played in my hair for a while before the cut to create some shape. Then when we agreed on a shape he began to cut.
Now when I go it is a little different I usually clay wash and use a little water down leave in. So far it has been fine he is able to trim it and reshape it.

I go with 2nd or 3rd day hair. My hair is all over the place with no product, and since I never wear my hair w/o product I wanted to get my hair cut in the state in which I would normally wear it (and on its best days 2nd and 3rd day hair).

I am more light handed on product and oils.

Are you taking a picture with you or just seeing what the stylist recommends? I've never been so km curious.

I'm taking a picture of the color I want. I'm also getting highlights, as far as the cut is concerned. I plan to talk to her saying I need enough to make pony tail and want to wear my hair parted in the middle and to the side, because I want to grow it out at least 3-4 more inches.... I hear that my stylist doing the cut is very good so....

When I took my daughter, we washed in morning and let it air dry. We had a little product because I cannot stand shrunken, productless hair. We took pictures of Amandala Stenberg (spelling?) as how we wanted it shaped

I probably had 2nd or 3rd day hair when I went. I washed my hair and stretched with twists per normal. I didn't use a ton of product. I refuse to go anywhere with air dried hair with no product. That's not how I roll, never wear my hair like that.
I took this advice, washing with Sarenzo's clay poo then deep condish and one creamy styler. It worked out well. I'm getting my hilites done now actually.

All done, the cut was great. Right now, I feel she did too much blonde with the hilights but I have to see in a few days.

Pricey, but not over the top. The salon is very well run.

Are you still loving your cut @vevster? I'm undecided on Deva or Ouidad.

I think anyone that has type 3C and in the 4s should do Deva Cut.

Ouidad was initially conceived for latinas that have looser curls. I'm not impressed with their products either. I bought a whole bunch of them and no bueno.

Deva Chan is my place. I love my hair right now. The color cut everything. I just went on a learning curve just learning how to style my hair......

Thank you for the info. I have a consult with a Ouidad and Deva trained stylist to see what they are talking.
