Hi all, I have a new friend that is thinking about joining LHCF. She has never heard of us but is excited about reading all the posts and getting advice on her hair. She and I are having lunch on Saturday and I'd like her to read your comments so she will feel comfortable about joining our little family. Please comment so she will have lots of welcomes and can feel all the love and warmth we have to share... She is a little skeptical about joining a forum... I'll Go first....
Gigi, welcome and I hope you'll decide to join LHCF, you can lurk as long as you like but hopefully you'll join us and become one of many who absolutely love this forum...
ETA.. I will tell y'all what she said about your comments on Sunday...or Saturday after lunch. Thanks in advance everyone!

Welcome to the forum Gigi!
I lurked for about a year then joined in 2008.

LHCF has a wealth of information. It's well worth the membership to post and discuss hair, plus joining allows you to see the other sections.
 
Hi Gigi. Welcome! I found the forum in 2008 and lurked until I took the plunge and joined in 2011. So glad I did. Everyone is really helpful and supportive. You can get tips, nurture your pjism or just complain about your bad hair days with us!
 
Hi Gigi! This forum and the people here are a wealth of knowledge and really helpful. I lurked for a while, then joined in 2014 and I haven't been off since.

Hi! I lurked for years, forgot about the forum, found it again and decided to join. It's been a great decision.

It can be overwhelming on the hair side of the forum at first because there are so many products mentioned, so many different routines, so much advice. My best advice would be to find consistency in a routine and before focusing on products. Techniques are key.

On the other side of the board you get access to after you subscribe is great too. I hang out here every day.
 
Hi GIGI. Welcome. I've been here since 2008. Very good advice! It's how I learned to take care of my own hair. I have reached healthy WL hair twice and cut it off! Lmao. Glad to have another sister!
 
Hi Gigi! Welcome! I too lurked for about a year and then joined in 2007.

Think about it like this, you can spend $6.50 on a meal from a fast food restaurant OR you can spend $ 6.50 have a wealth of knowledge (more like information overload :giggle:) at your finger tips!! You decide :grin:

This forum has completely changed my outlook on the "typical hair care advice" and helped me getting a deeper understanding of how to care for OUR hair.

That search function will be your best friend. I swear I spend more time with that than anything else... There have been so many things discussed here and it's overwhelming at first but searching for different things leads you to some surprising and very useful info :yep:

Hi Gigi! I've been here for a loooong time because of the community. There is a wealth of information within the hair, products, makeup and careers forum. We act up in the entertainment, off topic and relationship forum. We look forward to you joining!
 
I don't know but I think that it goes without question that the girls here are downright awesome! I mean AWESOME! So Gigi, you will have no problems adjusting here.

I don't know about anyone else here, but I feel that I have the best cyber friends than anyone on the planet, no matter which thread/forum I'm a part of here. Be it the fitness forum, the Christian forum, skincare forum, career forum, or here in the hair forum - which of course, are my favorites.

We welcome you with open arms :bighug:. So come on in!

Hi Gigi! :) I've been lurking here for a long time and just recently joined. I already feel incredibly welcomed. I lurked for so long because I was hesitant to be bound to a subscription-style forum and I tried lots of other hair forums in the meantime.

None of them can compare to this one and I'm So happy I bit the bullet and came over.
 
Hi Gigi - I understand. Joining is not just about the $6.50. It's about whether you want to waste your time - questioning if you should commit to something when there is a plethora of information on the internet that doesn't require anything more than a few clicks.

I can say that joining LHCF has been worth it for me. Even when I take long breaks and decide to come back to the forum. Plus when you join, you get access to other forums that you don't see. I have received so much hair, makeup, nail, and health advice on here. I have also made really good friends from the website. Friends who have been there for me in good times and in bad ones too. Every experience is not the same but I am happy that I joined. Join us! :)
 
Hey guys this is Gigi! You guys don't know how much I appreciate it. You all are so welcoming. Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. I'm going to join sooner than I thought now. Lol. I don't know what my screen name is going to be yet.. But as soon as I get it, I'll let Kinky know! Thanks you guys. I feel so welcome!!
