I posted this in the vendor forum but I think it needs mentioning here as well:

Okay Ladies I got another HIT for me:

My oh my, I    that Annabelle's Moisturizing Hair Creme in Cookie Dough fragrance. My hair was so dry today so I pulled this creme out and started to moisturize my dry hair with it.

It is soooo ridiculously emollient, just how I like my moisturizing creams, plus, the shine was off the hook. It is wayyy better than Sarenzo's creamy oil to me. Before I was using it on damp hair and it turns out, I like it a thousand times better on dry hair.

I plait my hair up in nine celies and when it was set a bit, I loosed one of them and couldn't believe how much definition and shine I got from it. :yep: this one is a keeper y'all. My hair dried light and fluffy too. It feels like I used a light curling custard on it :look:

Now I need another jar because I'm halfway through my current jar. Don't want to run out!

HITS:

1. Adding silk amino acid to my DC. I did a henna treatment followed by a DC and my hair is shiny and has movement 9 weeks post-relaxer. My NG is also more managable now.

2.Figuring out what the heck my hair likes! I've been here for 10 years and I'm finally paying attention and getting it together. I've actually found my staple products though I'll still end up with some new APB items :look:

I used silk amino acid back when I was fully relaxed. Went natural but now that I'm texlaxed I may buy another bottle again.

Miss:
SM Sacha Inchi Curling Smoothie and Conditoner (rinse out). Dry and hard hair respectively. I'm just insane at this point.

Hit:
DevaCurl One Condition. It actually isn't bad, but it's nothing to write home about. I would suggest on a whim, but Aussie 3-min and Paul Mitchell Detangler will always HG for my in the rinse out category.

Continued Hit:
APB Cherry Kukui on my WNG bun. Nice. Soft. Moisturized.

HBCO. Because it's that goodt.

On the fence
APB Tropical Daily Moisturizer- didn't have enough slip for me as a leave in BUT it seems to be holding its own as far as moisture and softness; won't use it as a leave in again but I doubt I'll repurchase it since I don't really M&S with lotions or creams these days (I only use sprays if I have to)

Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Hair Mask
Rene Furterer Karite

Phyto Review

Have I finally found a staple protein treatment?!! :mmmchocolate:

I mentioned in the January 2017 "What Did You Buy This Week" thread that I bought Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Hair Mask.

I mentioned that I was still looking for that guru protein treatment after Nexxus Emergencee was discontinued :angry2:, and Aveda Intensive Restructuring Treatment no longer worked liked it did (it appears to be a heavily diluted version of what it once was).

I also tried Komaza Protein Treatment, which didn't work for me at all. I even tried and recommended on this forum Framesi Color Lover Moisture Rich Masque, which turned out to be great, but more like a very moisturizing protein treatment. I was still in search of that strong protein treatment similar to my beloved and may they rest in peace, Aveda and Nexxus.

I kept searching and came across the Phyto line. The only information I knew about Phyto was their relaxer and supplements, which are raved about on this forum. So I knew if I purchased from Phyto it would likely be a great product.

I was hesitant at first because this protein treatment is $59 for 6.7 ounces :crybaby:, but I found a steal which shipped from the UK for $33 :pepper:. I got it this past week and decided to try it today. I am currently sitting with this (and Rene Furterer's Karite Mask - separate review to follow) under a heating cap and I gotta say this ish is the bomb diggity bomb :trophy:. I placed it on my hair and curls started popping everywhere with just one application before I used any heat. My curls are curling more than it normally curls. There are curls on top of the curls. Springy boingy curls everywhere :cloud9:. I LOVE springy curls and this is exactly what I was missing with Nexxus and Aveda!

Yes, this stuff is expensssivvveee but its worth every penny for me. I'll see how my hair looks after it washes out, but I think I found a lifetime winner. Depending on the shelf life I will buy a few well. Don't want them switching up the formula on me. Those French know their stuff!

Here are the ingredients for anyone who is interested! Please also note I am low porosity with fine strands.

-Botanical Keratin Biomimicry technology (A complex of 18 amino acids): Perfectly imitates the natural keratin found in hair and works like a filler to fill in the gaps in the cortex.
-Sapote Butter: Replenishes hair with lipids for increased suppleness and strength. It is twice as rich in Omega 6 fatty acids as shea butter.
-Baobab Oil: Provides anti-dryness benefits and softens the hair.

Paeonia Officinalis Flower Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Dicetyldimonium Chloride, Stearyl Alcohol, Distearyldimonium Chloride, Aqua, Pouteria Sapota Seed Butter, Dipalmitoylethyl Hydroxyethylmonium Methosulfate, Mauritia Flexuosa Fruit Oil, Isopropyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-33, Glyceryl Stearate, Fragrance, Ceteareth-20, Polyquaternium-10, Ricinoleamidopropyltrimonium Methosulfate, Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Tetrasodium Edta, Maltodextrin, Carmine (CI 75470), Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone

Karite Review

Maaannnnnnnnnnnn, this baby is moisturizing my strands SO well and smells delicious. There are so many good conditioners out there, and this tops my list of all the conditioners I have used. I don't know what it is about the expensive stuff, but they just seem to work better. I won't give up my Bekura Beauty, NaturelleGrow or Etae, but I'll keep having the Karite in the stash. Also expensive, but makes my hair super duper soft and seamlessly melts in my hair. Like you know how you can have that white residue on your hair with a conditioner before you use heat? Yeah, well there is none of that with the Karite. It melted right in, with no dripping or heavy weight on the hair, and instantly moisturized.

My next reviews are of APB products. I finally jumped on the bandwagon and hope its as amazing as you wonderful ladies claim it is! :grouphug:

Tragic MISS:

Sarenzo Pumpkin Deep Conditioner - no slip, no moisture, smells awful :barf:. Oh and additionally, the shelf life sucks - only 9 weeks. I can't, I just can't :nono:!

I agree with everything in this post. That conditioner sucked worse than the Honey's Pink Sugar DC, and it grew mold after a few months. I don't even bother looking in that vendor's direction any more.
