Camille Rose was another product I saw.... what do you guys think of that one??

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Camille Rose!!! My hair shrinks bad. This help elongate my curls so much. Twist/perm rods sets are so defined with it. I found my holy grail in natural products and will no longer "cheat" LOL. That is the only thing I buy now outside of Keracare.

He also said that we (black women) tend to have opinions without investing. Without having a stake. Sir...

I don't know who he thought was buying his soaps and crap on the streets of Harlem, but if that's not an investment, I don't know what is. He has made this into a travesty.

I want all of my money back for all the Nubian Heritage lotions, soaps, and body washes I purchased before their formula changes.

and for the only good hair product they ever made

The nerve. The audacity. Black women MADE Shea Moisture. Down to the original idea. So much free publicity was produced by Black women for this company.

If you need to expand, then expand to other Black women who are not using your products for whatever reason.

For those boycotting, TWEET SheaMoisture and tell them they failed and that you will not use their product even after pulling the ad. All this mansplaining is ridiculous. I want products made by WOMEN FOR WOMEN. Screw these men making $$buck off they deceased granny's memory. Look at his own hair. Why does he continually talk about Dove and Pantene? And Shea Moisture is NOT THE FIRST product serving natural-haired beauties. Man, screw this bald-headed coot dusty wannabe..

And stop equating BW to "struggle." Your products are grooming products. Struggles? BW ain't **** to this __________. And all the people on that panel except R. Martin are obtuse and buffoonish.

I TOTALLY forgot about this last product! I did not even equate this product to SheaMoisture (even though the name is CLEARLY written on it!). I loved this product but could never find it in CEDAR Rapids, Iowa!

I knew tide was changing when my white friend from childhood went to the states and brought me a shea moisture condish as a gift. I was shocked at first because she is not the type to ever be caught dead in a black area much less the black hair section of a store.

I still have the product because it was not moisturizing enough for my hair.

Whatever do you mean by "friend?" Just to let you know, "black areas" don't all mean drive-by, gun-toting, crack-dealing ghettos. Hmm. And mixed areas where you can get products for all kinds of people? I forgot what I came in here to do, actually...

Wow. Now this annoys me more than the video ever could. You earn your customers they and companies that come after you owe you nothing.

I find this a reoccurring theme with some men, that somehow they're owed something.

In what world?

This was free advertisement and he should really go hard in marketing to his new segment because he obviously has lost a lot of support in the way he went about this.

This right here. He needs to focus on catering to those that think BW are being whiny babies about this clear display of disrespect. I'm interested in seeing what their buying power looks like compared to the force that is BW. I suspect this company will file bankruptcy in the next year if the majority of BW stop purchasing their products.

"Every strand is a testimony to our history, that makes us stronger." Pantene celebrates the beautiful strength of African American hair. Because #StrongIsBeautiful

I love that these companies are now fighting for our dollars and know what we want to see to spend our money. This shows me that they're recognizing the power we have to make or break a company. Also, I have to say that Pantene has stepped their game up. I've been using the Gold Series after trying their cleansing conditioner. Sadly it's a bit pricey, but it does what it says it's going to do. They have this one and another in a bronze bottle that's a little less, but it gives my hair some amazing slip.

On the bottles there's a note saying it's part of the "My Black is Beautiful" campaign.

Black men that turn their backs don't tend to think of the immediate members of their family that they may be hurting while they stab black women in the back. It's almost as if they disassociate their relatives from the negativity. It's like Lil' WAyne talking bad about dark skin all the while his baby momma and daughter have darker skin. They use the phrases, "you're not like the dark skinned women i'm talking about. You different." It's disgusting.

Pantene wants them coins :lachen::lachen:
The lack of respect Shea Moisture is showing to their consumers is so offputting. What bigger investment is there than the actual creation of the product and our dollars?
Can you imagine any of those larger companies erasing the white women from their main advertments? Nope. They'll add, or start a new line, but they won't pull a SM.

So true. I was watching a YT video reaction to the SM drama yesterday and there a white guy in the comments that mentioned not understanding why so many BW were upset until he applied this to something like Apple going from making iPhones to Galaxies excluding their entire customer base to get more coins. He said that WP would be outraged and WM would probably start rioting.

Cute commercial.

But...Pantene may want 'them' coins but they are not listening either...

HYDRATING BUTTER CRÈME
Water, Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Petrolatum, (These ingredients are cheap!!!! I can get this for $1.50. How are you going to charge $8.00 ?)Cetearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isodecyl Oleate, Sorbitan Stearate, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Dicetyl Phosphate, Ceteth-10 Phosphate, Paraffin, Fragrance, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Decyl Oleate, Triethanolamine, Peg-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Methylparaben, Disodium Edta, Propylparaben, Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Lysine Hcl, Methyl Tyrosinate Hcl, Histidine

Where's the butter and/or the cream? The first four (4) ingredients are Junk ingredients-except the water. The majority of the additives are in the product to protect it from bugs, give it a certain texture, give it a smell and do everything for the product and NOTHING for the hair.

NERP. That's a no for me.

@
CafedeBelleza, I know you weren't saying any of this and this is not directed at you! I am amazed at how beautifully the commercial is done and taken aback about how junky the actual product is.

I agree somewhat but I actually don't mind supporting a beauty line started by bm. They're supposed to create businesses for us and he did, so yay. But they can't do us like this and expect continued support.

Those are crap ingredients, but I wouldn't buy from them if they were good. Too many black people selling good products. I either buy cheap stuff- Sauve for cowash, Aphogee or something black owned. My cabinet is a mix of stuff- Eden products, Mielle, Curls, Kinky Curly, Camille Rose and Shea Moisture.
I still appreciate the respect shown.

I mean, his interview was like, "You presented, I'm ignoring your concerns with my obtuse disingenuousness but this is how I'm going to protect MYSELF....you NEED to do XYZ to uplift ME." This was like a bad marriage of sorts. He was always leaving :giggle:

White stylists tell their clients to run fast from Pantene. It's junk for everybody lol.

And I'd never thought I'd see the day when the phrase "black owned and operated" would now need to include something about loyalty and respect.
