  • Use up Your stash challenge ( This is a MUST)
  • Protective Style/Hide Your Hair/Wig It Up/Sew In challenge- Please combine these challenges, they all fall into protective styles or Hide your Hair....why separate them?
  • Deep Conditioner Challenge

  • Inversion Method challenge

  • 12 Inches in 12 months (I have always shyed away from these type of challenges because I don't like the pressure, but I would like to grow out my tapered TWA just to see my hair potential now that I understand my hair much better. A challenge like this might be fun for me to see what I can accomplish in 12 months!)

  • A personal challenge of mine is to "Simplify My Stash". This challenge will help me to zero in on what products really work for me and encourage consistent use of them.

I'd like to add:

  • Restore Your Edges challenge- Let's get some before and after footage and tips on how to preserve them.

I'd be willing to host a protective style challenge since I'll be in faux locs all year. The challenge would include wigs, weaves, crochets, braids, etc and styles that don't include extensions (braids/buns with your own hair) and you'd have the freedom to switch from say a wig to a sew in or wear your hair out (with a "pass") for a short period of time. I'd include weekly styling (some can't go 2 weeks without cleansing their scalp) if you're wearing a bun, twists or updo and not manipulating your hair daily. Wouldn't want to exclude sensitive scalp folks or have them risking a setback.

I like this. I have to cleanse my scalp at max every 9-10 days.

I will be joining 2018 APL challenge, the way I make good progress is Bun hide your hair challenge. I won't joining the bun challenge though, I don't like hiding my hair so much anymore, but I'll see what I can do.

Who is leading the APL challenge? TIA

I need this because my Ayurved reggie is thinning them out; tryna tweak it.

Did someone start this challenge before or is it a new idea?

I've hosted a Full & Healthy Crown, Edges & Scalp Challenge for a few years. It hasn't been very active.

Many people are reluctant to post their pictures. I will be hosting 2018 if people are interested. But definitely start a new one if it will cater better to those who need it.

Oh, no! Really? Why do you think that is? I'm adopting an ayurvedic regimen, and I don't want my edges to thin!
What I do is I put the powder mud on to my scalp. I don't really do the tea rinse, so I'm thinking it just maybe too strong for me right now and I'm gonna do the tea rinses for awhile until my edges strengthen and fill back in.
But my hair's been growin like a WEED!!

I would like a challenge where you are required to stick with the same products. I didn't try too many new products this year but I could have done better. I have a thing for leave ins and stylers lol.
