I would like to join for the rest of 2018 and then 2019.

I've been prepooing with different things like coconut oil+tresemme or olive oil + tresemme.

I'm looking for some better pre-pooing recs... and am interested in adding more shea butter and/or
clay masks into my routine for better moisture retention.

Are you joining our challenge?

Yes for me and my son.

I just prepooed his hair this morning. Used the remainder of Camille Rose algae hair mask, neem oil and Jamaican black castor oil mix. I'll post the results after I'm done washing and styling his hair.

I'm going to use a brazilian protein-based hair mask, neem oil and Jamaican black castor oil to prepoo my hair shortly.

So I have an update.

I prepooed with the first combination in my son's hair. He has 3C-4Aish hair, and it made it soft and super detangled for further styling and braiding. I do regret not adding honey and evoo to this mix, because I did to my prepoo and it made an even more noticeable difference.

So I added honey and evoo in with the second combination, and my hair was very soft and shiny. I ended up conditioning my hair with Apoghee Curlific quinoa protein conditioner, then deep conditioned with Silicon Mix conditioner. For reference, I have 3A-3B combo hair.

I actually think prepooing is as important as conditioning now. I'm excited that our hair was so much softer and easier to detangle. I'm hoping to curtail our shedding, tackle our knots (our hair knots and frizzes easily), and retain more moisture (we have dry hair and live in a cold dry climate).

The Vatika frosting is, was and shall forever be bae! The price tag makes me cringe but hey I love that stuff. Crazy is I use de la Cruz coconut oil to remove my makeup, may have to start using it for my prepoo. The alikay honey and sage was just meh, on the hunt for something amazing!

I'm thinking of adding some rose petal powder to my pre poo mix that I made last week. I'm really excited about trying it. Rose works great on my skin so I'm curious to try it on my hair.

This thread was supposed to keep me on track with prepooing hair. Now it makes me want to buy products.
Will. Not. Buy. Any. More. Products.
I did not wash last week but will wash this week. Prepoo with oils and molasses in the morning under a plastic cap and s beanie whilst I go run errands.
