I used this, this past wash day because I had some matting/tangles and everything slipped out and got right.

It does what it says.

This definitely works and its affordable.

I need to try my Deva Curl Wash Day Miracle (or whatever it's called) to see how they compare.

Price-wise, you definitely can't go wrong with this product.

I found the African Pride pre-shampoo at my usual beauty supply store, after trying Walmart and another BSS lol.

I got the last one on the shelf.

@shawnyblazes
How does it compare to the Qhemet cocoa tree detangling ghee in your opinion? The price sure is right on this one.

Two different products. Both detangling. The AP activates with more water as you’re adding it. CTDG is like a hybrid moisturizer/butter /detangler. You can style with it too.

The AP I leave in my little one but i wouldn’t suggest anyone else do that unless you have fine hair and washngo a lot. I notice the AP leaves a slight cast if I leave it in his hair. The AP is goooey.

Thanks!

You're right about the CTDG. I can use it to twist my hair (gives a soft hold) and as a moisturizer. I don't necessarily need to wash my hair right away after detangling with it either. It's not sticky or anything.

The AP definitely has a different consistency than the CTDG.

It's a slippy-gooey-runny consistency which great for me works as a Pre-Poo.

In my opinion, it wouldn't be a fair comparison in any way, shape or form to compare it with QB CTDG.
Thanks too!

I'll keep using the QB to detangle my hair in-between washes and as a moisturizer.

Sounds like the AP will be good to use right before washing my hair.

I had to end up getting mine on-line (Wal-mart) too.:ohwell:

I got free shipping because I got $35 worth of miscellaneous items.

I did get like x5 of these tho':look:
Ahh I wondered how you avoided the shipping cost lol. Amazon Prime is over priced yet slightly cheaper than buying it from Walmart and paying shipping cost. But glad I got to avoid paying too much for it.

Everywhere I look, folks will have the entire line EXCEPT the prepoo. It’s like c’mon now - what are you doing??? I’ll just have to purchase it online
I wondered if there was an LHCF run on it, since I only saw one on the shelf lol.

I used the detangler last night and it's a winner. I would try other items from the line.

I applied it to small sections of my hair and detangled with my fingers. Then twisted each section when I finished detangling it. My detangling session sped by, it was just under 30 minutes. It was easy to use only one hand to get product out of the jar. That was one of my gripes with the Oyin detangler, my hand got slippery with product and it was hard to use that spray bottle with only one hand. I set the African Pride jar on the arm of my couch and didn't have to worry about that.

You're right about the consistency. It's hard to explain.

The texture reminds me of some Asian Beauty products, specifically bounce creams. The product in the jar kinda bounces back and doesn't look like you touched it at all.
