Hair Accessories/toys Thread

do headbands count here? I'm trying to get away from the tension of the sock bun and just wear a regular bun. This is how I bun when I'm going to the gym, but it looks sporty. I want to try to dress it up for work. Any headband sites/suggestions?

Preferably stretchy types with grip/teeth so they stay in one place.

Everything counts!

As far as I know of any other hair accessories, well cute ones, you can always try Etsy. I like handcrafted things concerning hair toys and whatnot, and typically you can find very affordable ones.

I forgot when I bought these....again lol.

From left to right:

The first is a U pin. I like how tiny this thing is, and it’s very lightweight. I have no idea how the finish will hold after getting wet repeatedly but I bought 12 more so I don’t mind if some get old. This thing holds up other styles than buns too. Got these from Etsy.

The next one is a Lila rose wooden hair stick that I received from a swap. Very light weight.

The blue and green acrylics are a bit heavier than anything else I bought, but they’re so colorful and pretty. They pretty much only stay secured in buns. They will break if dropped on something hard enough. I bought these from Etsy.

The last one is super cute and sparkly. It’s not as heavy as it looks. And I think I’ll save this for the super fancy occasions. I bought this one from amazon.
so cute... wish my hair was longer to use these....

But those are GORG!!! Seriously!!!

I’m getting at least Two. Thank goodness you showed me this when I get paid tomorrow morning lol

Please come back with pics when you do! I'm still staring down the first one I posted. I might end up ordering one just to look at. I'm crazy about the flowers in resin trend, and these look superbly done. The ocean floor one is wonderful too.

I love that blue wooden comb too.

I think resin work is wonderful. I saw one that had like legit insects in it. Like ladybugs, grasshoppers, butterflies, etc. The thing with Etsy is like, as soon as you see it you better buy it right then. Stuff goes quick lol

Right on time, she's having a sale!! I bought my favorite. I had to use some self control because it was a 20% off, and a lot of pretty things. After this I'll wait until the next one. I have plenty of time cuz I won't be able to wear it yet.

And the latter part always scares me because my favorite conditioner bars are from Etsy. One time the shop I bought them from went down for 3 days and I was like welp that's the end of my hair care journey LOL. Now I buy a steady supply to make sure I have plenty.... like a hoarder.

Geez, I really need to get some pictures in here. But I did want to update this thread for a rave. And that's for actually something really simple, a ponytail holder. I got one as a free gift when I ordered a barrette (more on that in a sec). The ponytail holder are the L. Erickson Grab & Go Ponytail Holders. They're available at a lot of places, but here is where I just ordered some after receiving that single one as a gift.:
https://www.franceluxe.com/L-Ericks...-of-Eight--As-Seen-On-Rank-Style_p_23350.html

So stretchy and comfortable, thick and I can see not prone to roll as much which makes my hairs wrap around other ponytail holders. Probably there will be some of that, but it causes that less.

Also what I ordered was a France Luxe barrette. This one, in fact, in rose gold:

I had a couple years ago when there was a major sale. These are the only barrettes of this kind I've found that can hold all my hair. Even shrunken twists. You need the "volume" versions, not the regular versions. When I got this ponytail holder, it was heavy and solid. You can really tell the difference in quality between this and what you can pick up in a store. I'll update in a sec with a picture of it in my hair.

These are next on my list. There were a couple other things I needed before, but these are so beautiful (this shop as well as what seems to be a related shop called "opiumnature"), I'll be getting one whether I need another hair fork or not.

I wasn't that vocal about it...I might have mentioned it in passing I think on the hair side. I go a bit deeper on the 'whys" in other parts of the forum.....either the Self Care thread or the It Girl thread.

I cut it in July.

Oh okay. Well I know it’s absolutely beautiful either wayyyyyyyyy. I haven’t seen it yet, so I’m just waiting to gawk in pure wonder. I know it looks bomb.com.

I’ve been using the biggest size of the plain Goody clips suggested by Kimmaytube. They’re nice but too small. Same for banana clips. Any suggestions for replacements? My hair is shoulder-length & pretty thick. I have yet to meet a banana clip my hair can’t break.

Do you like puff cuffs? I want to buy a few just to replace scrunchies because as soon as I buy a pack of scrunchies ive already lost like half of them lol

Oh! I forgot about them!! I don’t think they’re the official puffcuff, though, but they work the same. I have two in the big size & 2 mid-size! I’ll try that today!!
