Tracee Ellis Ross Has A Hair Care Line Pattern

Crackers Phinn

Either A Blessing Or A Lesson.
Being natural is way cooler now then it was back then. Plus she's more popular. This side hustle could work.
There was little to no competition back then and now everybody including perm companies are putting a dollop of shea butter in conditioner and calling it a natural product line.

Tracee's line will still do good business because she's a celebrity. I'm just saying if she would have put her celebrity out there as a front runner, the money would have flowed like water. Carol's Daughter was pulling in $27 million in annual revenue before it was sold to L'Oreal in 2014. Deva Curl is being acquired for over $250 million and has $60 million in revenues. But these were the front runners in natural hair care who been in the game 10-20 years and built a brand and repeat customers.

White women with curly hair, non Black pocs with curly hair, white mothers with mixed children, Black women with type 3 to 4a hair, salon dependent women with curly hair that live by wash n go, they have a large diversely demographic. The curly girl method high jacked the natural hair movement along with the devacut.

This question went completely over my head. I thought she was talking about their customers and not the company acquiring them.

I posted, saw your answer, got confused was about to edit and then said to myself "Self, don't second guess yourself". Both posts are the right answer.

Lol. I was talking about the company acquiring them but both answers answer my question.

ETA: Build up buster is bae.

Bought the trio of mini conditioners because I’m mainly a conditioner PJ. I also got the kit with the microfiber towel, hair clip and shower brush. I’ve needed a microfiber towel and always forget to buy. I’m really hoping her hair clip opens wide enough for thick hair. I finger detangle in the shower, so I’m not sure about the brush. Maybe I’ll use it only for my ends when DCing.

She's about 10-15 years too late. If Tracee would have went into haircare during Girlfriends before she started wearing the heat damaged look, she would have cleaned up Miss Jessie's / Carol's Daughter style.

Facts on facts on facts....#BIGFACTS!!!! So many people wanted to know what products she was using on her hair during that time frame. There have been countless threads on multiple hair forums of people trying to find this info, all down to the specific interviews she was doing. But it seemed like she was always vague or tight-lipped about her regimen and products.

I don't know if I can say the same thing now... I used to watch "Girlfriends" for the hair and clothes of the whole cast, but mostly for her hair. Still do...

I wish her much success with her line, though.

Taraji’s line will go the way of Gabrielle Union’s. I have NO interest in Taraji’s line.

:lachen: :lachen: :lachen: I forgot that Gabrielle Union had a product line. But I thought she did a skin-care line? Or was that somebody else? Everybody always wants to know her skin care regimen also, so it just makes sense that she should have capitalized on that.

I'm confused. Her hair now is the result of heat damage? I never even see her with it straight

If you go back and watch any "Girlfriends" episode from about season 6-8, you can see her wearing a straighter, blow-out type look. I think curly hair suits her best and she should have stayed in that lane.

I like a lot of the styles the cast has on "Black-ish", when I finally got into the show. I need to catch up.
