Hair Weave Killer
White women with curly hair, non Black pocs with curly hair, white mothers with mixed children, Black women with type 3 to 4a hair, salon dependent women with curly hair that live by wash n go, they have a large diversely demographic. The curly girl method high jacked the natural hair movement along with the devacut.

True indeed!!! I remember buying her book during my first year being natural. (Lorraine Massey) I still have that book packed away somewhere. There were also several black women on Fotki years ago discussing their experiences with her products, meeting her, and what was said during consultations with her on whether a Devacut would be good for their hair or not.

Chile, I'm looking through the comments on the pattern beauty instagram, and we are definitely not alone! lol
Quite a few are saying how they ordered on the 9th and haven't received an update. Which I think is the annoying part. They took the money so fast but we have nothing updating us on the status. Even if it said my order is in the warehouse being prepared, that would be nice.

Must be nice..:crybaby: (I'm a drama queen ignore me lol)
I noticed, nobody sections their hair to cleanse/wash it. Maybe, sectioning is just a hair board culture thing.

Tracey's version of the Denman looks scary to me.

I was watching a friend's video about her wash day, and commented about her leaving her hair out to wash. I said she's lucky because the last time I tried that I was sitting on the floor of the shower weak and traumatized:lachen::lachen: My stubborn self knew better

And yeah! I saw how many teeth that thang had!! I don't use combs anyways but I sometimes try new things, but it was a haaaard pass on that!

Yup, same here! When I went to see the arrival date it says by the end of the dayo_O

Turns out this thang was shipped Thursday, which I guess depending on the person that might seem like a long time for processing (Order Monday, shipped Thursday). But it's fine with me! I was expecting a 3-5 business day shipping time anyways. Just wish I could have gotten the shipping information, when it shipped out.

Please post your feedback on the product

My parcel has arrived! The conditioner smells stronger than I thought it would. But I like the scent as it’s different.

They need to hurry up and release the styling gels so we can have a complete system.

Ok! So life happened, but I'm back and I tried it! :drunk:
@Embyra (You might have tried it already by now lol but I'll still tag)
@lindseyerinc

ETA: I updated the bottom of the leave-in review. It's not flakey!

-The whole line has a botanical/floral scent which I love. It isn't super heavy after you're done with your hair but while you're doing it, you'll definitely notice it. But I was in heaven because I love floral scents hehe :heart3:

Hydration Shampoo-....I got the smallest size because I didn't really think I would care for it that much, but y'all....I actually really like it :look: I love the scent! It is also hydrating because it's definitely not stripping! Far from a clarifying shampoo. I shampoo'ed with it twice! (I usually only shampoo the length of my hair once because I always shampoo my roots twice with a Salicylic acid containing shampoo). It left my hair feeling great, clean and soft.

*I would buy again

Intensive Conditioner- This is the most moisturizing conditioner so I went with this one. She said it's geared towards 4b/4c hair types and the heavy is for 4a and 3c...I believe? Anywho, I had a bittersweet experience with this.

When I first put it on I was like "Yaaaaaaas!!", Curls were clumping and it had some hold to it too! While I was doing my hair, I was actually thinking about abandoning the leave-in and sticking with this for a wash n go lol. But alas, it is a rinse conditioner so it did have that grayish film on your hair that a lot of them have when you don't rinse out. So I had to rinse it :cry4:I couldn't finesse it (not yet at least). I "deep conditioned" with it for about an hour (they said it counts as a hair mask if you leave it on your head for some time). I didn't have a processing cap on top so it dried in my hair. I tried to lightly rinse it out, in order to keep the amazing curl definition it gave me but it was kind of hard to rinse out! I eventually got it out but there were still some spots left lol. My hair did feel soft afterwards but for it to be a deep conditioner or a mask it was just ok. Also, it didn't have much slip so I wouldn't detangle with it.

*Don't think I would buy again, maybe just to try the "heavy" formula. I wish they could design this same formula as a leave-in.

Leave-in conditioner- I had high hopes because of how much my hair was clumping with the conditioner, but.....nah:sad: The conditioner had more hold and defining power to me. Mind you, to get good definition for me, I usually need curling creams. I think Eden Bodyworks is the only leave-in that I've tried that defines my hair like crazy.

So barely any hold and little defining/curl clumping power. I will say that it did have a lot of slip. I was detangling through some sections with it. So it's good for that. The texture was pretty light. I went with a braid out and y'all! When it dried I had gray flakes in a few sections o_O. I was like ohhhh nahh, because I only used Pattern Beauty products so why would there be flakes??? I am heavy handed so you might need to use a liiiight hand with it. Luckily, after I did the braidout I ran the argan oil hair serum through my hair and all the flakes were instantly gone! So that's good at least. I'll try it again with a lighter hand next time lol. Moisture wise, it didn't really wow me. I love that my hair feels light and fluffy because I'm so use to heavy products buuuuuut, my hair feels a little on the dry side. Soft but dry

*Will try it again, but unlikely to buy it again
ETA: I just got done looking at some of my recording while doing my hair and I see that I had more spots of conditioner than I thought! lol So the flaking most likely didn't come from the leave-in but rather the left over conditioner!

Argan oil hair serum- I'm surprised I like it but I do! I haven't used oils in my hair after washing for like a year or two. This oil serum was super light weight and I liked the mix! It has argan oil, sunflower seed oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, apricot oil, and shea oil. I like using castor oil without having the castor oil feel. You may find a similar mix at a better price point though. It doesn't have a scent, but I kind of wish it did have the same fragrance oil as the rest of the hair line. I'm heavy handed so I used a lot, but there is still a lot left! It doesn't feel greasy either. It got me back putting oil in my hair (after styling):)

*Would buy again, or at least another product like it

Microfiber towel- I usually dry my hair with a soft t-shirt, so I decided to give this a try....chile...Tell me why I thought it was one of those pre-wrapped turbans you just sliiiide on your head and go? lol! So it's a cloth and you tie it up yourself. It's super easy but I didn't expect it to be like this. I do have one complaint. The part that you twist and tuck in the back doesn't stay put. It either needs to be longer or there should be a loop in the back for it. It did absorb well. I didn't have water running down my face or the back of my neck. The fabric kind of feels like the rags that you use to dry cars with lol.

*Will use again, but not really wowed

Overall, it was fun to try and I actually want to try any stylers they might put out in the future. I feel like they have pretty good formulas, but some didn't work for my hair needs. If you try it, go with the smaller sizes if your hair will allow it.

-In the gray hoodie, I had the Intensive conditioner in my hair
-In the white tee with the hair in my face, I had the leave-in conditioner in before I decided to braid it
-Other pictures are my afters

I ran to Ulta this morning and the entire line was there EXCEPT what I wanted to complete my set- the Argan oil serum. I was so disappointed. But then I went next door to grocery shop at Trader Joe’s I saw an organic Argan Oil and grabbed that. Enough already. I’ll be washing my hair later in the day.

***My Review ***

I detangled with DevaCurl's Wash Day Wonder

I washed my hair in sections the shampoo was nice: I was able to further detangle with the foam.

I then used the Heavy Conditioner which was very thick --- it kept sinking into my hair so I kept adding until my hair was saturated.

I then put my foil conditioner cap and finished my shower as usual.

I rinsed with cool / cold water then started styling soaking wet hair. I put the leave in all through my hair; in the back I added argan oil to the leave in --that is my dry spot.

Before I started I tested 3 stylers with the leave in. 2 worked so I used one of those...

My hair is currently soaking wet -- after I do some housekeeping I will finish drying under the dryer. My hair wet seems slightly more elongated and the back looks really good.

The real test will be tomorrow morning and how my hair lasts through the week.

I got the on the go kit which comes with the shampoo, heavy conditioner and leave in.

Shampoo - Didn't strip my hair. I don't use shampoo often and my hair felt like I used cowash. Seeing as I don't use shampoo often I wouldn't get a full size but would get a travel size with a coupon.

Heavy Conditioner - Best out of the bunch. I don't pre-detangle and I had a 5 day old twist out. I was worried because the conditioner is thick. Like a body butter thick. But it soaked into my hair and I was able to detangle just fine. Pleasantly surprised by this. I would repurchase.

Leave in - Reminds me of one of my favorite leave ins, Mielle Organics Pomegranate Leave In. Not too thick or thin. Paired well with my stylers (Doux Mousse and UFD Curly Magic). TBD on if I'd repurchase.

I like the extremely light scent. Some conditioner or leave in linger way after I've styled.

Hair feels great. That could be a combination of Pattern and my stylers but overall good wash day.
