Okay after using for a few weeks....

I really like the accessories! The brush is amazing and gives my hair such strong curl definition in the shower that lasts. My wash and go styles have had a serious upgrade. Theres also less hair coming out of the brush vs when I finger detangle in the shower.

I’ve learned to use the hair towel with the clip to keep it on. Not ideal, but it works and I love how my hair is less frizzy after drying with the towel. It’s never drippy after I take the towel off, and my curls stay defined.

The clip works well. It’s big enough and strong for my thick hair. I only wish it had texture on the part you push to open. It’s slippery in the shower and with product on your hands.

I still like the conditioner although it’s not that different than Joico or others I’ve used. I’d repurchase if on sale.

Tried this. One half of my head Intensive and the other half Dudley's Moisturizing conditioner. Went under the dryer for 30 mins with a plastic cap.

Both sides felt virtually the same. The only difference is Dudley's is less "fussy". With Pattern Intensive, my hair had to be wet and the longer it stayed on, was the softer and the more detangled my hair became. Dudley's kind of worked instantly without conditions. Both left my hair soft and defined.

Thanks for your review of the Dudley's Moisturizing DC. Now I need to look into buying it. I have and love a few Dudley's products but haven't tried this one yet..

ETA:
Whoops nevermind, I have it (the treatment) in my stash so I need to actually use it now :giggle:.

So, I tried it again and it's gonna be a no for me. Especially for the price. It's too finicky. It works well if your hair is super wet when you put it on and if you put a cap on and sit under the dryer and if you moisten it back upon rinsing. Even with all that to get it to work, my hair wasn't that moisturized and the condish doesn't have much slip. I'll use it up and then stick with an oldie but goodie (Dudley's Moisturizing DC).

I'll be on the lookout for another DC with better ingredients than dudley's, though.

I'm not in the market for a new product right now. My Camille Rose Honey Leave-in works for me and I recently found a deep conditioner that does wonders but I wish her luck.:afro:

Received my order, yesterday. FYI, the shower comb and hair pick are NOT seamless. My order was short one of the two hair clips I ordered. I emailed them about the issue.

I'll report back when I get around to trying the hair cream, mist and edge control.

I don't know if anyone is still using the Pattern Beauty...but I did purchase in September/October. I'm still using as primary hair care (personal use it up challenge)

What I bought:
Shampoo
Coily Conditioner
Medium Conditioner
Leave in
Styling cream
Gel
Heavy gel
(purchased on website and at Ulta)

Quick review:
First impressions: Scent is too strong- (floral-but I still decided to give the products a try.
-I didn't find the shampoo stripping, it was fine. I felt like my hair was clean and not too dried out.
-Coily Conditioner: too me this was very thick. It was ok, but didn't provide slip for me, and really needs at least 10 minutes to penetrate.
-Medium Conditioner: I prefer this one. There is some slip, although I feel it needs to sit on hair for 10 minutes at least.
-Leave in: Other than the scent no issues, I use this when I detangle.
-Styling cream: I wish I bought the smaller size. I don't know what to use this for. Overly scented floral cream. I use it for wash and go, and pair it with the gel. I use it on my daughter when styling her hair. I tried it on my son--but I don't know if he had a negative reaction or not. As he had a shedding episode--unfortunately I cannot say it was because of the use of the product--because there may have been other factors at work.
Gel:-no issues (I was in AZ--low humidity--if performed nicely when paired with the cream)
Heavy gel: For me best for wash-n-go styles. Slick down styles--I thought it didn't last long enough and had hairs sticking up (hair needs to be very wet).

Bottom Line: I think the heavy gel is the best product in the Pattern Beauty styling line. I don't know how it plays with others....I didn't have flaking unless I used way too much product and after a few days.

Blow-dry: I used the shampoo, conditioner (medium) and leave-in--lovely blow dry. My hair felt soft and light.

Verdict: I like the line. Between me and daughter we will use up the products. Will I repurchase? Maybe??? The scent is over powering for me.
After using the product line exclusively for several weeks, my hair feels moisturized and not dried out.
Styling products are ok, but I don't think they will give you a transformative experience.
The product line is about embracing your hair texture the way it is and keeping it moisturized.
*Note on packaging--they are made to be refilled. The hole in the tube is oversized for shampoo--so be careful. The jars for the styling cream and gel are ok, except the printing on the jars rub off--it's annoying.

Thanks for reading.

Found my co-wash and styler staples with this line. Obsessed with her Curl Gel, Styling Cream, Lightweight Condish and oils. I also love love love her mist spray bottle - it mists evenly onto my hair for WNG refresher days.

I bought but still haven't opened her Treatment Mask. I understand it acts like a protein treatment? Will try and use in a few weeks.

Just an FYI, I've seen these products in my last few trips to Marshalls

Chi and Oribe products are also sold at Marshalls. This does not necessarily reflect the quality of hair products sold at Marshalls which has rebranded the last time I went in there.

I never said anything about the quality. I figured I'd share in case people wanted to get the products at a discount.

Understood, though some may also perceive your comment as if her products being sold at Marshalls may somehow reflect on its quality.
