Might as well keep track of the times where I actually trim my hair. Considering I haven’t in like...3 years.

My latest trim was a couple of weeks towards the end of July. It was rather involuntary but I think I trimmed nearly an inch or right at an inch.

I did a rollerset yesterday and then blow dried on high to stretch my roots. I trimmed tonight. Not sure how much I took off. It was probably between 1/4 to 3/4 inch. Then I did a search and destroy with the splits I could still feel.

As my hair gets a little longer it is getting easier to dust my ends. My back is still a struggle but I have something to look forward to next year.

With regular search and destroys I am able to stick to my every 4 month dusting schedule. I will dust again in December.

I know I just trimmed last week, but i trimmed an inch off my ponytail today. The left side is still slightly longer and more blunt, but I will even it up at the end of the year. Today is a strengthening day.

I blow dried my hair Friday night. That helped me really access my splits better. So I did a search and destroy. It was thorough but I got at least 50%.

I will straighten next month and then use my split ender. That should be good enough for my ends.

I guess early December I need to do a protein and amino acid treatment to get ready for the heat.

Yes ma’am. I don’t trust people like that. I’ve been wanting a professional cut though lately.
Sorry for all the typos, I clearly wasn't paying attention. Thats how I am at this time and I got a major cut in Jan 2019 and want a dusting. Maybe I will need to do it myself but hell I don't trust me either

My TWA officially July 31st, 2018. Finally cut it evenly.
Aggie,
What's the difference between your short hair photos and your avatar, where your hair is heat straightened? Your short hair is beautiful and you look gorgeous with the shorter length. You always look lovely no matter the style!

@Chicoro

Believe it or not, that's shrinkage in the photo here. When I pulled the length at the back at that time, my hair was at my collar bone in the front but just immediately below my shoulders at the back.

The pic in my avatar was my hair a few months ago, can't remember exactly which month. I am due for another trim this coming Friday so I will have to get new pics taken then.

My hair will grow if I let it, but I just have too much fun cutting and trimming it to get a layered look, then I'd want it all even again. The cycle repeats itself for me.

Thank you! I think your hair grows fast. It's beautiful nevertheless!

Thanks love. Actually yes it does grow pretty quickly. I've had at least 5 major cuts since starting this hair care journey with 2 of them being set backs. I say I will stop cutting one year and then boredom sets in again. So I finally gave up trying.

I haven't dusted my ends since March. I really put my hair on the back burner this year. I flat ironed tonight so I will dust or trim my ends tomorrow. I'm not sure how much I'm taking off. I'm going to trim at least 1/2 inch but I may go for an inch. I'm tempted on taking the scissors and cutting straight across.

The left is my hair last year. The right is today.

I finally trimmed today. I used my Split Ender and took off a bit. I'm really not sure how much it takes off. When I finished I sectioned off the back into smaller sections and took off the raggedy ends which was probably 1/2" to 1".

So let's see if this gives me a fresh start and the hair in the back acts better.

I will go back to my every 4 month dusting after this.

I can't wait to trim my ends. Once I get back from Christmas break, I'm going to straighten my hair and then get a professional to trim it. I haven't had a professional hair trim in 4 years (I think).

I'm still doing search and destroys. I'm rinsing my hair every 3 days to see if the extra moisture helps my unhappy ends. Just taking it a day at a time. I'm not scheduled for a dusting until April.
