Has Anyone Tried The Dyson Airwrap?

I tried it and I didn’t like it, I just found it too hot on my scalp and it just blew my hair all over the place. I couldn’t get the curls to hold and I have no problem with holding a curl normally.

I love my Dyson Coralles though. I think I might treat myself to the hair dryer for Christmas.

Yeah, if you’re trying to use those curling wands you’re going to be disappointed. I thought it was just bad on kinky hair, so I tried them on my DH (2a Asian hair) and no, it just sucks.

Im very interested in the Corrale. If I decide to start flat ironing again I’m definitely getting it. I’m all in with Dyson when it comes to their hair tools.

Yes indeed. I thought the brush was great but I couldn’t justify keeping it just for the brush attachment.

Yes the Corrale gives my hair a nice silky finish but I don’t feel like it’s damaging it or anything. Not that I use them that often lol

I‘m trying to imagine you attempting to put curls in your hubby’s hair what a cute image

Ugh. I hate to be dramatic, but this is literally THE BEST blow out I’ve ever had. Ever. This knocks the revair and the revlon brush completely out the park.

my hair is so smooth and soft, and in such a short time! Even the hottest setting on the airwrap doesn’t feel too hot. And I could actually use the brush on low heat/speed to detangle before going full strength, which cut out the need for me to use my detangling brush, and saved even more time.

my roots are straight, like straight straight! My ends aren’t as smooth as I would have hoped but I won’t fault the airwrap for that. They’re still smoother than I would have been able to get them with any other blow dry tool.

for reference: in the grey shirt my hair was blown out with the revair, pink shirt wasthe revlon, and the blue shirt is with the airwrap.

Beautiful results! And great comparisons. The Airwrap gives a very light pressed look on our hair type. And with such little heat and stress on the hair. It’s awesome! I also skip the detangling when using it.

If you go over the ends with the volumizing brush, they will get straight. I used to finish with that attachment, but I got a bit nervous about the bristles on that one.

I’m going to send Dyson an email about adding a boar bristle attachment to the collection.

Well since we’re all here, I tried the T3 Lucea ID flat iron. I purchased it through Afterpay (It’s pretty cool if you don’t care to part with a bunch of money at once. Like me lol) It has a heat ID where you could choose whether you have fine, medium, or coarse strands, the length of your hair (short, medium, or long) and whether you have color or not. It also has a manual mode where you can choose your own settings, and it has a refresh mode (but that’s for people who straighten every day). Are you tempted @Mapleoats?
I think the Airwrap and the Lucea could make a great pair :evillaugh:

Interesting. I’m researching flat irons; currently leaning towards the Dyson, but this sounds nice. But you don’t have the option of directly choosing the temperature?

There is a manual setting, but it’s only in “notches”. You can’t really tell what temperature you get on that setting but this flat iron gets HOT. You will not need to crank it up to the max. It primarily focuses on its “smart setting”, but I wish it was more transparent as far as you being able to tell what degrees you’re on. But, it does flat iron the poop out of some hair, and the hair be soft as poop too.

Ouuu. This looks really nice! I am actually on the market for a flat iron... but if I come home with any more expensive hair toys my boyfriends gonna give me the side eye . He was already looking at me funny when I told him I bought a dyson lmao. I’ll get one sometime in 2021 :look:

Thanks sis! Yeah I think I’ll try the volumizing brush next time. Those bristles look scary tho lol that’s why I didn’t use it. A boar bristle attachement would be amazing! Great idea!

I have the Dyson supersonic, the Corrale flat iron, and now, ya'll have convinced me to buy the Airwrap.

I don't even have much hair yet, :lachen: so, I'll sit tight for now. lol

@Mapleoats just sold me. Beautiful hair!! And skin.

i put DH on notice to get this for my birthday in May, but I might jump the gun before then. I’m tickled at myself because I surely was judging folks for getting that expensive revair (I just really didn’t ever see results that blew me away), but look at me now.
Thank you! I wish I skipped on the revair, but ahh well. I’m super happy with the airwrap now. I can’t wait to try it on rollerset hair, an at home, healthy Dominican blow out.. If that combo comes out like I’m imagining it, that’ll be all me all 2021 lol!

Lol girrrl, doesn’t sound like you need much convincing when it comes to Dyson  . How do you like the Corrale?
LOL. My hair is super short, so I bought it to straighten, so I can trim. I bought the GHD flat iron first and the next day, bought the Corrale to compare. Even though on the youtube reviews comparisons, the GHD appeared more sleek over the course of a day than the Corrale, I couldn't tell a difference in my hair. What I could tell was that my hair felt less fried/stiff, more moisture-retained, and less HOT to the touch with the Dyson. That sold me. I put the GHD in a box and shipped it back and used the Dyson for the rest of my hair. It's worth it to me to keep healthier hair on my head, than anything else.

I purchased this flat iron as well on BF. If you look in the black and white instruction booklet, it has the temperature ranges in it. I hope this helps.

I tested it out and it straightens very well:yep:
