Bug Alerts Not Working

I've noticed since last year that the alerts have not been working properly. It's getting very frustrating that I need to search through thur forums or my watched threads for updates to weekly challenges when I know that I'm being tagged. Especially, because so many threads are being shuffled around. I know that I'm not the only one who experiences this. Hopefully this can be fixed soon?

Sadly I cannot reproduce this. I had one of the mods "like" one of my posts which triggers an alert and got the alert just fine. Maybe an ad blocker or other extension on your browser?

This is what I saw

@dimopoulos

Thanks for looking into this. I "@" you to see if it can be duplicated. I see when posts get liked, but not all of the "@snoop" tags. In some threads it works and in others it has not in over a year (same threads).

I amended to note that it's mainly occurring when multiple people are tagged in a post...i.e. for some of the challenges.

This is still occurring.

1. Not getting alerts when new posts are added to watched threads.
2. Not getting alerts with an @

The issue is intermittent. One day I will see an alert in the Wash and Go Thread. Then I will have multiple days with no alerts. Then I will go into the thread and see there are 2 days worth of posts.

I wouldn't think it is an ad blocker because I get them sometimes and sometimes I don't. It has gotten worse in the past year.

I've noticed that if I don't actually go into the thread after being alerted, I won't be alerted until I start visiting it again.

I will pay more attention. I don't think that is my issue but I will pay more attention. These are alerts on threads that I try to actively keep up with so I would click on all alerts for those threads. I can see getting only one alert for a thread even if there were 12 posts but I don't get any alerts and there can be 12 new posts in the threads.

I know I'm not the only one. A member mentioned it this morning that she didn't know there were new posts in the thread. It is just annoying. A watched thread isn't as useful without the alerts.

Let me see if there are settings somewhere that I'm missing.

I checked my settings and they are all good. I will have to pay more attention to see when I'm getting them and when I am not. Not seeing the pattern.

Definitely check. That was the only pattern that I've noticed. I miss new posts all of the time because I'm not getting alerts, too.
