Hot Air Brush

Has/does anyone here use this brush? It is used to blow dry. Somewhat like a dominican blowout (roots only). I think this would be good to use after you rollerset and want to straighten out your roots.

What do you think?

:yep::yep:Yeap I do. I have a revlon one and I use it after rollersets when I want my roots straight.
How is it. do you recommend it for people (like myself) that don't see me having a dryer in one hand and a brush in another trying to blow out my roots! :nono:

:lachen:I think you'd like it. It's much easier to use than the round brush + the blowdryer. This is the one I have except it's pink.

Thanks OP for posting this thread!! I had meant to inquire about this over the holidays when I saw one of these in Ulta.

misshic---what brand is the one in the pic you have posted here?

Also:
-Does it have a temp setting?
-Does it actually BLOW air out (like a blowdryer does), or does the metal-looking part of the brush just heat up?
-How straight does it get your roots (is this all you have to use after rollersetting to get your roots straight)?
-How much did you pay for this one?

Sorry for all the questions, but it looks like a tool I could really use! :drunk:

It's a Revlon. Mine is a Revlon 1200 ION Select Ceramic. The temps are High, Low & Cool + an ION select Dial. It does blow air out like a blowdryer. It straightens my hair just as a roundbrush would after blowdrying and yeap it's the only tool I use besides water. If I remember correctly it was $20-$30. Sorry, I don't remember the exact amount I've had it for awhile now.

I have the Revlon one in pink and got it with a coupon from Ulta for $18.99. I love it and here is a pic of how it looked right after I used it when I was finished with my rollerset. I didn't get the greatest shot though:

ETA: When I do my hair again this weekend, I'm going to take better pics so you can see it clearer.

For the ladies who have the Revlon brand, have you experience it pulling any of your hair out when you blow your roots?

Now I am wondering if I should have gotten the Babybliss one with the boar bristles? Or would I be ok being that I am only doing my roots?

I have this one - it's the Babyliss Pro Tourmaline one. It is basically a boar bristle brush and hot air dryer in one - this is perfect for blowouts. That other contraption looks like it would rip your hair out :perplexed

I have seen the set (hot air brush and flat iron) turn up frequently in Marshalls and TJ Maxx for $39.99.

Guys I think this would rip my hair out from the roots and I'd see breakage everywhere and I'm texlaxed. I think this is for people with a way less kinky hair pattern than my 4a/b roots and hair.

But, I wish it were for me, cause it looks fun. :yep:

I have a plastic one. It doesn't rip my hair out. When I was natural, my hair laughed at it. It does OK for my relaxed hair. I will get the Babyliss one in the future.
