Exercise and Hair Growth????

My hair grows 1/4" a month. :rolleyes:That's ok but I would really like a full 1/2" a month (or more). I take my vitamins daily, I eat fruits & vegetables, whole grains, etc...I co-wash daily, my hair is wrapped up at night, I wear buns everyday, etc.... I just want more hair growth per month. The only thing I don't do consistently is exercise. I have heard the cardio stimulates the scalp which can promote hair growth....as anyone ever tried this with documentation. I am thinking about starting a personal challenge to see if exercising would promote hair growth.....what do you ladies think???

I think it can help.

How long have you been eating healthy? I started eating properly and I was told it does take awhile to notice a change in your growth rate.

I definitely think it can help! I started exercising (cardio) and eating at least 4-6 servings of vegetables and fruits a day last year just on a personal challenge with family members to lose weight.
As a side effect I have noticed that I am getting better hair growth since... maybe cause I have better blood circulation now? :ohwell:
I don't use any growth aids so that is the only thing that I can attribute the increase to. Even if it doesn't help your hair... at least you'll be in much better shape... so how can you really lose? :yep:

I don't have documentation but I do know that cardio does increase circulation and blood flow to the brain which in turn helps with the growth. My hair grows at a decent rate and at one point I was exercising twice a day and my hair went from sl to bsl in the blink of an eye. I really didn't even realize cause I was more concerned with my weight loss. Yeah, Now you have me thinking, I need to get back to the gym!

MMMMMM I was thinking of doing 600 mins. a week of exercise. That would be 2 cardio sessions daily of 45 mins. each....sl-bsl uh? that's what I want......i think i'm going to do my own personal challenge to see the results....:drunk:

I know that most women who claim exercising increase the growth rate had also increased there protein intake. So maybe if you dont notice any changes with exercising then maybe increasing you protein intake will help. HTH
