I don't know the exact dates for these pics but they're about a year apart. I used a Fall 2007 pic b/c I didn't take many pics that showed length for comparison in Jan. 08.

Started my journey in July after I cut off the split ends, etc.

My Siggy is my current length....

I made my goal of SL early, but I still have a long way to go. I attribute my progress so far to roller sets, deep conditioning, and daily moisturizing. Thanks Gennifer (Macherieamour) & Traycee!

Here are mine from what I could find to give vivid illustrations...I have realized my hair is the type that regardless of how long it gets it still shrinks to the same length and since I never really stretch it, it is hard to tell.

WOW! Your progress is very inspiring!

Thank you! That means alot, because sometimes when I look at other progress pics, mine looks like it grows soooo slow, lol, sometimes it just doesn't look like it's growing, taking pics really do help to track one's progress lol

1. Flatiron - Feb. 08 - brastrap sliding into full bsl.

Comparison:
Flatiron - May, 08 - full brastrap sliding into midback.
Flatiron - November, 08 - midback sliding into waist.

Black hair grows!

LynnieB's general advice:

1. Be patient - it takes time to grow. :burning:

2. Don't allow frustration to destroy your progress. There will be times you feel discouraged but don't allow your emotions to knock you off your goals. :burning::badidea::burning: If you're really not feeling it then put it away :sekret: - under a wig, in braids or twists and give those negative feelings time to go away :sekret: (and they will eventually go away! :bud:).

3. Find the right products and techniques. If you're experiencing a hair problem, diagnose what it is and correct it whether it's your technique or your products.

4. Don't become a prisoner to your hair! :jail: It's perfectly ok to enjoy all of your hard work (just use commonsense and be gentle)!

5. Stick with your regimen and let it be or else :bat:!!

Over the past 2 years or so that I've hung out around the hairboards, I've seen so many women crush the many myths surrounding our hair. Both natural and relaxed hair myths just go right out the window - it's a wonderful thing.

Any one who takes the time and is looking for help can get it and achieve their hair goals - relaxed, transitioning or natural.

Do what makes you happy, do it well and be happy lady :)!

Thanks so much for the :love2:

Right back at cha! :Rose:
