your hair is sooo lucious and full. I like it. What type of rollers did you use? Did you twist it first and then roll it. c'mon, give up the technique.

I'm 7 weeks post and trying to S T R E T C H for another week or two and got tired of fighting with the NG. I took small sections of wet hair and did twists (don't know how to do the flat ones)... used the pink cold wave rods on each one and spiral curled it about halfway up. After it dried, I seperated the curls with my fingers and used a pic on the roots to make it look full. It just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger!

That is a simple technique and I do have some pink rollers and a relaxer in waiting. About how many sections do you think you did? I may do this tomorrow.

I think I had about 15 or 16 when I was done. The rollers aren't fun to sleep on though! :nono:

You ladies are the best! :bighug: I was a little self conscious about it at first because I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wear my hair straight. I think I'll be trying twistouts and rollersets more often. They aren't as time consuming as I thought.

I need clarification:

1. You did a 2 strand, "single" twists all over your head. Not cornrowed twists..right?
2. Did you just put the rods on the ends or did you roll the entire twist?
3. And of course I need the products that you used!

Yep, I did 2 strand single twists all over (I swear I looked like I was 9 again!)... and I rolled the rods about halfway up the length of the twist. When I was done, the rods hung about earlobe length.

I co-washed with ABBA Pure Moisture conditioner, and used the Olive Oil Leave-In Conditioner by Africa's Best, the Shea Butter & Tea-Tree Oil Moisturizer (also by Africa's Best), and some Vitamin E oil by J/A/S/O/N... spread that concoction thru my hair. Then I took a small spray bottle, filled it halfway with the moisturizer, added water, shook it up til it mixed, and sprayed my new growth (that's the only way I can get it really soft and moisturized). Also before I twisted each section, I added moisturizer along with some Wrap Creme (by Black n Sassy) down the length. I didn't use setting lotion because I was afraid it would come out too stiff. After I took it down, I didn't need to add any oil or moisturizer.

I like that look on you! I was thinking you were natural or either texlaxed, but then when looked at your siggy and saw that you were relaxed, I was like  "she did that!!!" I really love the full look

Whatever you did (to think that it wouldn't come out right), just do it again the next time too!
