Question About Touch-Up After Stretching

Ok. I've been good. I've done the stretching/baggie thing since December. My last touch-up was the 1st week in January.:)

Now, trust and believe, I am ready for a touch-up. It's getting rough up there!:lachen:

And this question has crossed my mind.:scratchch When you go to get your touch after your stretch, does your hairdresser try to charge you more because of the amount of new growth?

Cause if that :Cow: tries to.. I will whip her butt like I am in a rodeo!:bud:

Hey SisterFriend,

I hope all is well.

My hair stylist doesn't charge me more due to the amount of new growth that I have. I hope your hair stylist doesn't try to.

Fletgee, you are doing so good with the baggie and stretch.... :clapping: :clapping:

My hair dresser does try to charge me more when I stretch (dominican salon). The last two times I stretched to 14 weeks....I have no idea why this is--since I am not getting a whole head done but I told her I would not pay additional. And to top it off I bring my own relaxer !!!!!!

I would suggest you ask first to make sure or go in person for a consultation then ask the price.

I think it is totally outrageous when stylist's try to charge the price of extra new growth compared to a virgin relaxer

I think situations where stylist want to charge you extra, do things like not properly apply the relaxer and list of other things is why so many ladies are taking the issue into their own hands. I have sat back on a lot of b.s. in terms of treatment at a salon but my money and I will not be parted without a good reason so if they try that I will argue. I didnt have that exact experience but in my worst touchup experience the stylist tried to put a whole bunch of stuff in my head without asking me if I wanted it and had the nerve to tried to charge me. I said HELLLL NAWWW....I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS!!! I paid what I was quoted on the phone. Dont play me.....lol I already forgot what the topic was lol. :lachen: God bless you all.

Umm, they may charge you more because they have to use more relaxer and spend more time. I think they usually have a "touch up kit" with a certain amount of relaxer. Personally, I would rather pay more if they will take their time on my head and not complain.
