ok now im interested because i need a new leave in, my hair gets puffy from the humidity in NY (which it never did when it was relaxed), and I'm a pj like that. I never went to the dominicans and i never tried their products. and would it be ok for natural hair? anybody know any salon i can find it in brooklyn? how big is the bottle? and does anyone use this for their braidouts/ twisouts?

Loca,
I got both my Sedal and Silicon Mix at Queens Beauty Supply Store on Church Avenue. It's about two blocks away from the B and Q trains Church Avenue stop. You can also take the B35 to get there. I am sure it would work well on natural hair and for braidouts since it defines and moisturizes each and every strand. HTH! :)

Ladies,
I purchased the Hydra-aloe Sedal instead of Sedal Anti-sponge. Do they both work differently, and how should I be using the Sedal and Silicon Mix products? Should it be only used to deep condition?

Most of the ladies use the Seda/Sedal alongside the silicon mix to get the results of shiny, hydrated-looking hair. I think its the most important product of the two to attain those results.

I paid $7 for each product.

ETA: SEDA Hidraloe and SEDAL Anti-sponge supposedly contain the same ingredients and either of the two products is what you would need to buy along with the Silicon Mix. Don't confuse SEDAL Hidraloe with SEDA Hidraloe, they have different purposes. HTH

I went to the Feel Beauty BSS on Fulton st. today and i bought this (among a few other things... :sekret: ) While I was sitting on the subway on my way home I noticed the ends of my hair were alittle frizzy from the humidity so I decided why not open the bottle and try alittle, so I did. I really love the smell and I noticed once I applied some, the ends instantly became smoother and silkier. I was like :shocked:because humidity is my hair's ultimate enemy. I got the same one as you CCD the back is in Spanish but it comes with a white sticker with directions in english.I cant wait to use this on my whole head on my next wash.

About the bottle, did you poke a hole in the top to open it or am i supposed to cut the tip off of it?

HEY GUYS!!!!! I am sorry i havent been able to reply for so long.....I havent had internet connection in a minute! But I am back and HAPPY to see everyone havin good result with these prods....

Anyway I am sooo pleased with them too...The Silicon Mix LEAVEIN that I have works wonders during my roller set and the Sedal is lovely as a conditioner through out the week.....I do use the Sedal as a styling prod....i dont use it for wash and gos because I think it is a waste since I am washing my hair every other day if not every day....

I use Sedal when I wear my hair straight or loosely curled after a roller set :D

I hope that answers some questions you all may have had...I will read thru the post and if I forgot anyone I am sorry :perplexed

If you have any other quests Pm me.....Oh yeah, PS  I bought the Silicon Mix Deep COnditioner today...I couldnt resist.... it was 7.49

oh.....Silicon Leave in 7.99, Sedal 6.49

And Sedal has many Combing Creams...the Anti Sponge is the one I have and I have tried others ( Keraforce)...I don't think they all work the same.....KEra for instance is to strengthen the hair....so the anti sponge helps calm the hair to me...no frizzes FOR REAL...I have had my hair straight alllllll this week....is humid up in here (NYC) :look:

The Silicon Mix ( the Leave in that is) is something I wanted to try instead of Lacio....and I really like the results...my hair is shiny straight out of the rollerset...if you are natural you may want to try it or you may not need it....I like to have my hair shiny with out the added products thru the week..... I dont know if that makes sense but I get lazy and I would like a clean head of hair even after a few days.... my hair will absorb alot of prods if I let it.

Now I just got the Deep conditioner and plan to use it in my other concoction :D ...I am just havin fun and treating my hair to a few extras lately. I have read great reviews on the deep conditioner so I thought why not.

HTH. CCD

Hi,

So far as the Rivas Silicon Mix, was this the Capilar Treatment or the Intensive Leave-in Hair Shine & Con. Please help, I want to order both Sedal and Rivas for the full effect.

Sorry I didnt get back to you.....it was the Rivas Leave in and Sedal Anti Combing cream which can be used as a leavin as well but I used it as an after styling cream.. ( I may mix a little in on damp hair if I feel like I need it )

The anti- sponge leave in is officially a winner with me too now  . At first I wasn't sure the best way to use it, but I got it down, for myself at least. Last night's wash, I used Eqyss Avocado Mist on my scalp, Cantu Repair Cream Leave In(which if used right will leave my hair frizzless and moist), then NTM Serum. I was about to do the stretched ponytail method (pigtails stretched criss- cross, pinned, and airdried) but there was still quite a bit of noticeable frizz and it didn't feel moisturized. So I started to add little bits of the anti- sponge leave in and it worked almost immediatley to kill any frizziness and puffiness, moisturize, and basically silken my hair  ! Its one of the few of many things that work for me, you don't need much product either. The downside, and only one, is that it doesn't give shine or sheen although it moisturizes, as CCD also mentioned I think. Sorry, for the length, just wanted to be thorough. HTH, someone.

Yes, Metalkitty, that( no shine added) is the only downside for me so far...but I counteract that effect by mixing a clear serum along with the Sedal...like Fantasia IC serum....

...I havent experienced anything negative using it although...
****I read a post somewhere that a relaxed head didnt like Sedal too much.... she experienced breakage and I am disappointed about that....***

Also, for those who are using Silicon Mix....it was mentioned somewhere about clarifing and think that is a great idea.....I havent clarified yet but I think I will today or tomorrow...when I wash...

Since I bought the Silicon deep con. and plan on using this week I will clarify before hand...

I am happy its working for you....
