Mill Creek Conditioner reviews

Never tried any of the products from this company before, but they certainly looked intriguing, especially the keratin conditioner (I'm determined to find a commercial protein condish that I like :drunk:). What is the consistency of these conditioners? Do they work well as DC's?

I have 1/2 a bottle of Mill Creek Keratin Condish left, I don't use it anymore, not that I didn't like it I just found other conditioners that I liked a lot more. PM me if you would like me to send it to you so you could try it.

I love and use the Biotin one mixed with oils because it has collagen in it. However I noticed my hair gets hard because of the collagen, so I mix one egg YOLK with it and my hair is very strong after.

2 wks before and after a TU and then once a month after, I also use this the wash after I have flatironed my hair.

I do a mixture with it:
4 oz conditioner with 2 oz EV00 oil and 1 oz EVCO. I double the amount and put in a seperate container.

I have the MC Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner and they are indeed quite strengthening. The conditioner has a not too thin, not too thick consistency and it does go on smoothly and I do use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards.

It is a protein conditioner but it does not leave my hair hard. I just automatically use a moisturizing DC after a protein DC, erring on the side of caution - just in case.

I love the Biotin Conditioner! It's definitely one of my staples. But, like Aggie, I also follow up with a moisturizing conditioner (NTM Daily Deep) just to balance the protein and moisture. It doesn't leave my hair hard or dry, I just follow protein with moisture as a habit.

I especially love the peppermint tingle and smell I get using it. I've even tried (accidentally) the Biotin Shampoo and found that I like that also. I'm a daily cowasher so, I stick with MC Biotin and NTM Daily Deep and have had no problems whatsoever. :lick:

Yup, I have the Keratin set too and I love it. The condish is great and strengthening, I can feel it. I just LOVE HEHH so much more that I use it more often. I got them from Marshalls.

You ladies are doing the right thing. Don't be like me :nono:. I'm so lazy I try to cut down as many steps as possible. I guess I could try DC'ing 15min with protein and 15min with moisturizing. Correlates to the same thing as one 30min DC, but just broken up. My hair usually feels crunchy, dry, and brittle after some protein treatments. Probably because I don't follow up with a moisturizing treatment all the time :ohwell:.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't know Marshall's carried these conditioners. They're getting good .

Yes, I definitely follow-up the Millcreek or any Co-washing Conditioner that contains ''Protein" with a Moisturizing Conditioner.

Didn't realize that was part of the question.

My Millcreek Keratin Conditioner Experience (Thanks Black Geisha :hiya:):

My first reaction: This conditioner smells very good! Like sweets or candy or something. Consistency is smooth and loose, slightly reminiscent of of Giovanni smooth as silk or their Direct leave-in, but perhaps a tad creamier. It's spreads very easily and you only need a small amount due to its consistency.

How I used it: I shampooed my hair with Everyday Shea Moisturizing Shampoo then applied the Millcreek Keratin conditioner mixed with avocado oil on my hair and left it on for about 10-15 minutes without heat. When I rinsed it out I could definitely tell I just did a protein treatment-felt stronger and slightly rougher than usual, but the conditioner rinsed out easily and my hair felt pretty good and even had a bit of slip. Afterward I deep conditioned with AOHSR mixed with some infused EVOO that I have and honey and DC'd with that for about 15-20 minutes w/heat.

The results: I liked it a lot! Definitely going to be a staple in my routine. My hair feels stronger and more elastic, but not jarringly so. My hair still feels very soft and smooth. Most keratin reconstructors make my hair feel over proteinified (is that a word? :look:), even if I follow up with a moisturizing treatment. This one was great and I like that it did not contain mineral oil, which has a tendency of weighing my hair down a lot. So, if you're interested in trying this conditioner, I definitely think it's worth it :yep:.

The Mill Creek keratin is one of my all time favorite conditioners. It's benefits to and for my hair are numerous -- soft, strong, moisturized hair.... The aloe vera did not seem to do much for my hair at all, though.

I read one of your post about the MC keratin Conditioner and that was the reason why I purchased it and I have had no regrets since.

I love the Keratin conditioner. It is my staple light protein for my first wash after my relaxer. I always follow it with a moisturizing DC.

Millcreek Keratin cond was a staple dc until I discovered AO GPB, and then I forgot about Millcreek! The Keratin works quite well as a dc, and I had no issues when using.
