During the week after a rollerset or blowdry...

How do you keep the moisture in your hair? What products do you use on the length of your hair and your ends to keep them healthy and moist? Or is it better to just leave the hair alone until the next wash? TIA!

If you are 4a or 4b, then 9 times out of ten you are definitely going to need some sort of moisture, especially on the ends. When I get a doobie, I oil the scalp with Hollywood Carrot Oil Creme every other day and everytime I wrap the hair up or comb it down, I use Hollywood Carrot Oil or Taalijah Wahid Oil on the ends of the hair (usually once in the morning, and once before bed).

I will usually use a headdress like Keracare Conditioning headdress or Ors Olive Oil ( water based) during the first day or two. Then I use oil sheen like Motions when I wrap after that. If I use a headdress after the 2 day my hair will feel weighed down. But the oil sheen keeps it moisturized and light

I've been wondering how I'm going to keep my hair moisturized after a Dominican rollerset/blowout as well. My hair is swinging, light and blowing in the wind, lol, and I don't want to weigh it down with heavy moisturizers. At the same time I want to ensure that my hair and ends especially don't get too dry.

I will probably use an oil (KeraCare, KemiOyl, Design Essentials Botanical Oil etc.) concentrating on my ends to keep them from drying out and apply just enough oil to the rest of my hair to keep it moisturized but not weighed down. I'll save my spray moisturizers and creamy moisturizers for the times I do my own hair and before retouches.

I hear what you're saying. I only put product on the ends. List of stuff I use on my ends includes: NTM Silk Touch Leave In, MNT Hair Strengthner Daily Leave In, Aubrey White Camilla & Jasmine Shine Conditioner Spray...can use a bit of this on the length of the hair b/c it doesn't add oil or weight to the hair. Also, I wrap a night, which helps keep my hair from getting all dried out.

Good luck!

I normally use a mix of oils and finger comb them through my hair and on my ends. I only really comb my hair when I am washing it or rollersetting it, so after I get the oils in, I maintain my hair by pin curling it before I sleep. HTH.

I've been using Just for Me Haircreme and Hairdress on my ends only. I coat my ends and then wrap my hair. In the morning, I comb out and fluff the wrap and my ends and the rest of my hair look great! Im really trying to get rid of this creme because I want to try another hair creme.
