Hi all, I'm new to your wonderful forum. I just wanted to say hi and thanks to all the ladies that recommended Kenra. My hair is going to fall out from me touching it all the time! It's never felt so buttery (is that a word?). I actually have a hard time telling if it is wet or dry--it's that moist. I can't wait to try out some of the other products ya'll have recommended.

I have heard so many good things about Kenra products. I have NEVER been able to get the CON Ultra Moisturizing effect from any other shampoo or conditioner product. I will have to give it a try.

Ok,

I got a very generous sample of the Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo and conditioner (emailed them - got it within a few days) and used it Wednesday night.

LOVING IT!!

Right now, I have a sew in weave, but a big chunk of my hair in the front and a little on the sides is out. I used both the shampoo and the conditioner (mixed it with Miss Key 10 en 1) and my hair has so much body and is so soft. I am 10 weeks post so that is a blessing!!!

I have never been unfaithful to my CON, but she's got some competition now.

I love it!

I have to agree. I used Kenra moisturizing conditioner after my relaxer and my hair was so moisturized! I also used it for daily conditioner washes until my dominicans came and it wsa heaven sent. It keeps moisture in my hair all day long. Now Kenra v. Elucence I donno..... I wonder which works better as a leave in?

Update. I just got their Intensive Emollient Treatment for dry and chemically-stressed hair and it makes their moisturizing conditioner look like plain water!

Ok, I just emailed Kenra's customer service about getting a sample of the Clarifying shampoo and the Intensive Emollient Treatment. They are going to get sick of me!! :)

How do you use the Intensive Emollient Treatment? Also as a conditioner or as a leave in?

I use it as a conditioner. But, forget the two minute thing (they're talkin' to some other ethnicity with that one). I put it on damp clean hair, bag it for 1/2 an hour or longer, then rinse.

Sareca, your hair is beautiful! I love what you did to correct the highlights - you are an hairdresser in your own rights!

You relaxed your hair?? I had no idea - it looks so natural! What index of the Phyto do you use and how long do you leave it on your hair?

Yep, I'm a Phyto-II lover all the way. Some else asked me the same question, this is what I said,

"The directions say 7 minutes application 8 minutes (mimimum) for smoothing. During my strand tests (I did three) finger smoothing worked best for me. So, after the first 7 minutes I smoothed the hair lightly with my fingers for 8 minutes. When I smoothed with a comb for the same amount of time it came out stick straight. But, don't skip smoothing, you have to smooth a little or it won't relax at all. So, the total time left on my hair was 15 minutes. I could still see a little wave in my hair even with the relaxer on it, but not much. "

I love Phyto. This is just want I wanted. It's curly when I want curly and straight when I want straight. Now I want this in brastrap length. :)

I LOVE this treatment. The first time I used it (without heat, mind you) my hair felt like silk while rinsing. I need to get some more of this stuff.

I agree, the Moisturizing conditioner is good, but the Intensive Emollient Treatment is off the chain!!! I always use it after a protein treatment, it really moisturizes my hair.

I do not like any of you all because I read this thread yesterday and it sent me out to Ulta. I purchased the clarifying shampoo and intensive treatment. I used it last night for the first time. I let my hair self dry over night and my hair is so soft today I was so amazed.

P.S. You all know I need some more shampoo and conditioner like I need a hole in my head. When I think I have narrowed down my list you all come up with something else!

So you like the clarifying? I am looking forward to trying it.

I know you're not talking to me... but I thought I'd answer anyway.;) I like the poo, but if I had it to do over again I would get the course/thick hair poo (it was recommended on another thread). I think I will limit my use of the clarifier to once a week. But it's a keeper if you've got buildup.
