Hi Ladies, my hair is always tangled (I'm natural) and knotty. I need suggestions on a great leave in and something that will take away these awful tangles and knots :pullhair:...preferably something creamy (no sprays please). Thanks a lot!!!

I find creamy products feel good on application then dry up to leave a brush masquerading as hair.

The leave-in that never does that for me is S Curl.

I've tried S Curl , but it basically sits on my hair... doing nothing.

I'm glad it works for you. :yep:

That's weird, can you explain how you use it?

I think a lot of people that find "the juice" not working with them use it with other products. Or they apply it to damp hair and then give up when their hair dries up hard. Also if your hair is not clarified and you condition wash a lot or use a lot of products, it will not penetrate.

Otherwise by virtue of it being water-based, it should not just sit on hair. It wets hair the way water does. The tricky part comes in that it may make your hair feel dry later if in very dry climate due to the glycerin, but as for SITTING ON HAIR, I just don't get how it can unless your hair is coated in a serum.

ETA: BTW, I'm talking about the spray, not the gel. I can sorta see the gel just sitting on hair. The no-drip moisturizing activator spray on the other hand would have a hard time just sitting on hair.

Kids Organic Shea Butter Lotion is super detangling ,makes the comb slide through like melted butter.

Sharpened

A fleck on His Sword
Castor oil for oil rinsing and detangling
Hemp seed oil w/ EOs on soaking wet (leave-ins do nothing for me)
Gels can help reduce the number of knots
Make sure you get all of those shed hairs out for they are the main source of tangles.

I may try it one day just because of you!
