Im in of course...but Im in the hide your hair challenge. So I can't post any pic's until the end of the yr. :(

How many times are you oiling your scalp a week? Do you dilute the CO before you oil your scalp? It's so thick, I don't want it to weigh my hair down.

I'm in! I am going to be focusing more on my edges to help thicken them up.
I am using a mixture of organic castor and peppermint oils.
You can see how thin my edges are in my siggy. (I can't upload a pic for some reason right now - I will when it starts working again)

That's ok, if you want to you can post your pics in December.

I'll join. I've never done a castor oil challenge. Does the starting photo have to be on straightened hair or can I just pull on a piece? :yep:

No, you can pull out a piece of hair and stretch it.

Dang, I thought Cycle 2 ended in December! Poor me! I'm loving my JBCO and I have plenty of castor oil remaining...Im joining this challenge, and paying attention to the start day too lol...I will straighten my hair tomoro and be back with the results as my starting pic!

This challenge ends in December so you will have plenty of time to use up all that CO!

I'm in! My starting photo is in my avatar, but I'll post it as well.

I plan on using JBCO (and have been for about 1 month, regularly) every night to every other night by massaging it in my scalp. Sometimes I seal my hair with in after I spray my moisturizer on in the morning

Just about every night. I put my oil in a applicator bottle and I apply three to four drops through out my scalp and then massage it in to distribute the oil. On wash day I apply it everywhere on my scalp therefore throughout the week I only need a little each day if at all.

How many times per week are you using the CO, have you tried massaging the problem areas??

Only 2x's per week, a little goes a long way, in my experience it doesn't sit on the scalp it's absorbed. Don't put too much or it will be rolling down your face.

I'm in. I've been adding JBCO to my DCs ever since the first challenge. I am going back to using it on my front edges 2ce a day. At the moment I cannot add attachments to my posts (not sure if this is because of the upgrade). But as soon as I am able I will post a starting pic.

Tell me about it, it took me an hour just to answer questions. :swearing:

I guess I'll join too. Just started actually 'greasing' with my CO yesterday. My scalp is already sore.

Starting pic TBD

^^ Why is your scalp sore? Does CO cause that? (I don't know much about CO besides the thickening qualities and that it stiiiiiinks!)

Nah, I dont think it's the castor oil directly. I use ayurvedic powders as well. I mixed the castor in with my oil infusion. I do know that castor oil is a purgative..so it may be trying to get the toxins out. But, again that's just my hypothesis. It's not a bad, or painful sore..so I dont want you all to think that. Just kinda tender..just a little bit.

I'm not using JBCO, I heard that STANK! I'm just using my plain castor that I also use in my OCM (oil cleansing method)

I use CO in my modified Kimmaytube leave-in that I use twice a week. I also use CO in my daily spritz every evening.

Edited 09/21/10: My siggy has my most recent pic after my BC.

Okay ladies I'm ready to go...I found a BSS last night that sells JBCO (Tropic Isle Living Brand) at first she gave me the original co in a little blue bottle but when I said no thats not it.. She said "wait you want the black co" and went and got this one..The funny thing is she said "For some reason all of a sudden this is in high demand, we cant keep it on the shelf!) I thought about LHCF lol.....So I'm hyped...I will be posting my starting picture tonight...

My scalp was sore in a few spots from scalp massaging. Now, I don't agitate the scalp as much nor as long so my scalp is now fine.
