Jamaican Mango & Lime... Hair Deodorizer

I was in the BSS today and saw JAMAICAN MANGO & LIME Hair N' Cense It's a hair oil that eliminates odors and promises no buildup. I opened the bottle and sniffed and it is very potent...almost like incense. If I ever have the nerve to try MTG again...I might use this to mask the smell.

Progress...not perfection
I have this but I havent really used it. If I start using the MTG again I will try them together.

I just bought the Jamaican Mango & Lime Island Oil on Sunday. I liked the way it smelled and it make my new growth very managable. Has anyone else tried this?

Hmm...sounds good, I was just thinking if I mix MTG and Wild Growth Oil together what kind of results would I get?

That's how I use my MTG. The smell is not so bad, but then again I always thought the WGO oil smelled bad.

The first time I transitioned, I wore my hair in double strands and I used the Jamaican Mango & Lime Loc Gel, and I loved it. I don't recall using any other products from their line.

HAIR DEODORIZER?? Why would someone (besides an MTG user etc.) need that? It is sad that some women let their hair get to the point where it just stinks b/c it is dirty b/c they are that uneducated about their hair.

I think for weaves and braids, those who don't know wear it for longer periods of time and it smells bad, I know i use to keep my weave in for 3 months and not wash it and I hated it but my stylist said to wear it that long so I did and my scalp was a complete mess when I took it out completey white and horrible. so I think that is one of the reasons.

this stuff is nice but doesn not combat mtg you still need to cut it with something

Most of their products tailor to folx w/dreads... So I believe that is the basic target audience for the hair deodarizer as well... I have some and have used it w/MTG. It helped but MsP is right you need to put some serious cut on that MTG to totally eliminate that smell... For me the MTG smell isnt that bad so I dont even bother fighting it anymore... But occasionally I will follow up MTG w/the hair deo if Im planning to go direclty out in public after applying...

I have used it but it really doesn't deodorize ... imo. But I use and LOVE their no itch growth spray and I have used the Island Oil before. But the No Itch growth spray will always be a part of my regimen while in braids. It doesn't leave build up and when I take my braids out to rebraid them my roots always feel moist and never dry. I have gone through at least 8 bottles of this stuff in the past 6 months or so.

The WGO smell annoyed me too, I figured putting two annoying smelling things together would cancel each other out. I will be mixing my WGO with MTG and adding some other essential oils and see how it works out.
