Hi Ladies,

I've finally updated my album. Check the 12 week stretch album for updates. They are kind of backwards in order, it starts with the touch up pics and ends with the 11 week post pics.

I have not made a lot of progress this year because I have had to trim thin ends from Dominican blowouts, I have learned my lesson there. I am very happy with the job that was done yesterday at Indra Salon. I did not relax my nape yesterday, but it needs rest as you will be able to see in the pics.

I am officially transitioning to slightly relaxed hair with Affirm mild for 10-12 minutes. I know this is going to be a challenge but i'm up for it.

I am on the April Fool's stretch and will not be touching up until April 18th, 2006, 16-17 weeks post.

Forget Tyra!!!!!:lachen:

You will be swinging your own hair very soon. Keep up the good work.
I would have loved to have left a comment in your album, but you have not enabled it.

ANY REASON WHY !!!!:spank:

I didn't know it wasn't enabled I'll have to fix that.

Thanks for the compliments ladies, it's not as long as all of yours but you all are my inspiration!

RabiaElaine,
Your hair looks good. I am glad you had a great experience at the salon. You will have to keep us updated about your transition to texturized hair. I am seriously thinking about transitioning from fully relaxed to texturized as well.

I will keep you updated...I expect it to be a challenge though. I could tell it was a little bit difficult to rollerset yesterday, though he was very very gentle, didn't do that tugging thing, and went slowly.

Great progress. Keep it up.
That phony pony looks SO real. It is a phony, right? I love it.

Yes it is from www.phonyponies.com. I love it and I'm going to get another. I may get the wet and wavy texture next. One of my white male coworkers loves it and he thinks it's my hair!!! Ha ha. He keeps telling me how much he likes my hair pulled up like that.

your hair is beautiful and sooooo healthy. what is the difference between a relaxer and a texturizer?

Well for me there are varying degrees of relaxed hair. All of them have used chemical to relax the curl. You can relax your hair slightly or relax it bone straight, or anything in between. The degree of relaxing is dependant on the strength of the relaxer and the amount of time it is left in.

My hair is relaxed bone straight, except for the roots now, those are slightly relaxed. I will know more about the texture of the roots when I wash it next.
