Has anyone used this? What are your opinions of it? Here are the ingredients: Petrolatum, lanolin, Indian hemp oil, jaborandi oil, nettle oil, rosemary oil, birch oil, burdock oil, rosehips oil, Irish moss oil, coltsfoot oil, dandelion oil, yellow dock oil, grass oil, Echinacea oil, wild cherry bark oil, nepeta cataria, jojoba oil, safflower oil, wheat germ oil, paraffin, tocopherol (vitamin E), BHT, fragrance, D&C yellow #11.

I bought this because I’m thinking of going back to my old, old routine of applying grease/pomade to wet hair once a week & calling it a life. My new no-oil routine was working fine for a couple of weeks, but suddenly my hair became hard & stiff like straw. It must be some combination of products that don't work well together. I really want to give away or trash the whole lot.

The only ingredients I see worth the time are jojoba oil(which can decrease the amount of sebum on the scalp, thereby refreshing the scalp), wheat germ oil (I forgot it's function, but it is good for the hair, and vitamin E. Many times, companies add ingredients to products without researching what they are. Some non-african american industries market a product based on stereotypes. They will add ingredients that are just appealing and not beneficial. I am not sure what all the herby oil stuff is supposed to do, but I find it strange that the ingredients that I know adds benefits are listed toward the end(HUMM). With petrolatum being the first ingredient,I know it will be heavy on the hair. I started buying Carol's Daughter's Hair Milk and it is great (costly, but great). Tennile-

Thanks for your response, Tennile. I was curious of what others thought of these ingredients because I haven’t seen this combination of oils in other products.

Ipanema, Dax Organic Oils Super Gro (Wal-Mart) is great!
It has petroleum too;BUT it melts in your hand. I think they use just enough to make it stay in the jar.
Here are the ingredients: Petroleum, Sweet Almond Oil, Aloe Vera, Avocado Oil, Sunflower Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sesame Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Safflower Oil, Peanut Oil, Cottonseed Oil, and Parfum. I love it! Some old habits die hard
I just gotta have my "grease"!

Well, I was beginning to think that I was the only one using the dreaded grease. I finally have elasticity & shine (and bounce!) back after massaging the indian hemp into my hair while it was soaking wet. I think it needed something heavy to hold in the moisture.

I just bought this grease. I'm going to apply this grease to my hair in order to do a twistout and see what my results look like afterwards.

This stuff is the BOMB!!! lol I love grease. Grease is the only sealant I use now. Works way better than natural oils and my hair stays soft!

I have a jar of this that I always keep around because it smells delicious and I will use it on the ends of box braids/cornrows when needed. As long as it is washed away with a sulfate shampoo, I don't see any problem with it. And might I say again that I love the smell!

I unraveled my twistout this morning after using the Softee grease last night. Here are my results:

If you don't mind the petroleum, sounds like a good sealant with a bunch of yummy ingredients. Even though I do not use this grease in my current regimen, I always keep a jar of it handy for, you know, emergencies.lol

I bought this a couple months ago for the smell alone. I like to use vaseline on blown-out hair for stretched braid-outs so I switched to this because it is similar to vaseline but with yummier ingredients and a to-die-for smell.

This stuff is GREAT! Not on my scalp but it makes for great twists & outs. I also like it to lay my hair down it's a good pomade.

The petro and lanolin are not "good" for hair. BUT they are easily removed with a clarifying wash. This imo is not an EVERYDAY styling product. But once in a while will not hurt.

Never heard of this product until this morning, but guess what? I *just happened* to go by Walgreen's and pick up a jar a couple hours ago

I used a little bit on my 6 day-old flatironed hair/scalp and I love it! I can't believe it only costs $1.00!

sipp100..hey Thank You.. I went to Walgreens.com, but I only saw indian hair & scalp treatment. Is that the same thing as indian hair & scalp conditioner?

I tried putting a picture.. but the "link" keep appearing instead of the pic. :ohwell:

Oh, so the indian hemp treatment grease and indian hemp conditioner grease are the same thing. Since it is $1.00, I think I will try it.

Thanks everyone.
