I don't see why people are taking this so seriously.

What did ya'll expect them to do for her at the very moment? She was already sitting in a tub of water. :spinning: If she couldn't figure out what she needed to do then...:look:

She says in this video that they did help her and were "very attentive". She said Trey was the one that told her that her hair was on fire. I"m assuming we couldn't hear everything that was said because they all were'nt mic-ed up.

And now look: the "model" is getting extra publicity. She'll be the next Kim K before long. All is well, that ends well.

That makes it alright then. No sarcasm. If she isn't pressed about it, then I don't need to be either. Whenever some people find comedy in something you are going to have at least as many people who don't find it humorous. That's just how comedy works.

I don't think it's about people taking it so seriously. I just think some people didn't find it funny. When everyone was talking about how hilarious the video was yesterday, i was so ready to laugh when i finally saw it, but....nothing:ohwell: But like cocosweet said- if the model isn't pressed about it none of us should be.:yep: lol i thought there would be more compassion for her on a hair board!!!

Why are we all assuming that is a weave. For the record that's her hair. smh She sent twit pics of the damage and you can clearly see her scalp.

And I didn't think it was funny...my head got hot just looking at it! :nono:

ETA But I also see what others were seeing...the reactions were funny. The typical when one black person runs all are gonna run reaction

Yeah, it's kinda messed up that everyone is assuming it's a weave! I mean that says a lot. This story was on my local news yesterday even THEY were calling it a weave. Just perpetuating the stereotype that black woman+long hair = weave. And we know better!

nah, i didn't really see the "funny".:look: And apparently that was her real hair:nono:

I would cry. not only having your hair caught on fire terrifying (i mean proximity of hair to your body) but now she has a hair loss too :(

also look at the right, the one girl sees her hair catch on fire turns away like she didn't see it, she also doesn't move when everyone ran just stared. sociopath obviously

also hair can catch on fire that quickly if there are products in it :/

Hair is flammable. If it was a synthetic weave it would've melted.
no one here has ever singed arm hair? that sucker is like live gasoline.

I was looking for it to be a little more funnier than it was, but im glad shes ok.
i can tell her proximity to the candles was a little sketchy

I would've been very embarrassed to participate in the "reinactment video" if I were her. But to each his own; it may not have bothered her.

I'm a little more bothered that bikini-clad and naked women is how 40+ year old Diddy promotes his new album. Lift and rise- we are in the last days! Just my opinion.

wait - do you know for sure that she's BLACK? Her name is Miyoki, she's rather fair-skinned, and her long, wavy hair is type 2/3. She looks Filipino or Hispanic to me. The stereo-type has nothing to do with being black - it has to do with being a model/extra promoting a rap album. Plenty of those women of all backgrounds wear weaves while they're "working." Not knocking their hustle...imjustsaying

well hell from the darkness and the angle and how big it was...it looked like a weave to me!

damn it's an inconvenience but i'd rather someone's weave catch on fire than their own hair, at least you can take the weave off and buy a new one. glad she's okay though.

If you didn't think it was funny, why is it in your siggy now? Not the running part, but the head on fire, then head dunking in the water part?

I'm sorry, but that was HILARIOUS. I watched it twice and posted it on my facebook so other people can laugh, too...................................................................:lol::lol:. It wasn't like she got hurt or anything. *shrug*

As much as women on here complain and cry about scissor happy stylist whacking off 3, 4 inches of hair, you mean to tell me that it's okay that this woman's hair got burned off? Can you say, setback? Seriously? Would you be laughing if it happened to you and all of your progress gone down the drain (think about your answer, for you did pay 6.50 to post on a HAIR forum).
