Your hair looks great! It's rare that I see women with hair your length with thick ends, but your hair looks beautiful and healthy from root to tip!

Thanks for the update! :)

Beautiful!! How tall are you? You're making me want HL instead of WL!!! I'm pretty tall though so HL may be too long on me lol

Thanks ladies!

I am all natural. I rollerset and sit under the dryer, and then I flat iron. I'll try to find an old thread with my reggie and bump it up. It hasn't changed much over the years. I'm simple and cheap!

Yes, my ends were bumped on those pictures.

Oh my goodness your hair is beautiful!

I spend 90 minutes under the dryer and I'm "only" waist length. How long does it take your hair to dry?

The thread below is very old, but it has my regimen and pictures. It hasn't changed at all, except I don't wash or straighten my hair as much anymore. I've had several cuts and trims since that thread was created, and I bought a FHI flat iron since then.

I have really been slacking with the hair care this year. My hair just needs conditioning and to be left alone to grow. I used to wash and straighten it every week. Then it went to every 2 weeks. Now it's more like once a month. I will admit that after my baby, I went WAYYYY too long. I had bad shedding during pregnancy and it's still shedding pretty bad. After she was born, I didn't have 4 hours to commit to doing my hair, so I just left it in a ponytail or bun for weeks.

I wear it curly in the summer, but since I have to wet it every morning to get a decent look, I don't usually wear it that way in the winter months (I don't have time to dry it every morning, and I don't want to get sick from a wet head.)

The best advice I've read here was from Flowerhair. She basically said that you find what works for your hair, and then you just wait. It takes a long time to get your hair to longer lengths. At this point, I'm almost over the whole long hair thing. My daughter constantly pulls my hair, and it takes way too long to wash and straighten it. I can totally see why people get the "mom cut" after having children. I'm not going to cut it short just yet, but I have really been thinking about some highlights and a new layered cut.

I'm 5'7"
I really had to get to this length before it really started to look like WL to the non-hairboard people. I don't usually wear my hair bone straight, so when it's curled or bumped, it looks shorter than it is. Also, since I'm a natural, any bit of humidity makes my hair swell a little and look shorter.

It's usually just under 2 hours to get it dry. The whole process is about 4 hours long. I wash and condition, deep condition, roll (I use leave-in as a setting lotion), sit under the dryer, unroll, flat iron, wrap, go to bed.

Speaking of... We haven't had a meet-up in FOREVER!
(Or is it just that I haven't been to one in forever?:lachen:)

I sort of took a break from LHCF after the baby was born, and when I was pregnant, I was only reading the pregnancy threads. I think we should have a meet up soon.:yep:

I think so to. We need to plan one. I'll get onto that next week after I finish this project.:yep:

Wow ClassicBeauty! Your hair has really grown since you joined the forum. I still remember you sharing your rollerset/flatiron routine with us! Great progress!

nice!!!!

Funny story about your hubby. Mine just knows the routine. I even have him taking pictures of the back of my girls' hair so I can document their journeys.

I had to remind him that I was a member on this board before I married him!:look: He should have known what he was getting into.
He politely shut up and took the picture.

He thought I was over "the hairboard" since I'm not on here as much anymore. The truth is that I still read from my iphone, but I don't post much anymore. I rarely come on LHCF from my computer.

My one year pics. I was trying to locate a pic from BC, anyhow i think I've gotten exceptional growth. Here goes...

The first pic is at the 7 - 8 months mark.

My regi is real simple, co wash once a week, deep condition, oiling and that's it.

Sorry these was taken using my iPhone.
