This Really Helps with Breakage

I've been trying to share this with you guys for days now!

Remember when I posted that my hair was suffering because I couldn't shampoo/condition regularly... because of my constant cold.

WELL, during that last 2-week stint after I'd seen all that hair on the bathroom counter, I pulled out a product that I've had in my arsenal for a while but only use it when I think about it.

It's Mizani Rose H20 Night Time Treatment. I applied it and brushed it through (with a very soft brush) and put my hair up for the night. The next day, I saw that I lost about 2 hairs as opposed to the 20-30 that I'd seen the previous day.

The directions say to use it every 2nd or 3rd night. It does not have protein in it. I believe the ingredient that helps with breakage are ceramides. Did I mention that the product smells good also?

I am back to a more consistent shampoo/condition schedule now as I have been feeling much better, but I am still using the Mizani product.

It is alittle pricey, but this is my second jar and I would certainly repurchase it in the future.

I just pulled this out of my stash last night. I really like the way it smells.

You can purchase it at JCPenney styling salon.

Wow the closest JC Penney Salon is about 45 mins drive. That's not very convenient for me right now.
I'll check at the hair store that I go to and see if they have anything.

Can any good moisturizing con work too? I really don't need to start my PJism when I've been so good as a reformed PJ.

Ulta should have Mizani products as well... at least that's where I bought mine last time, it's been a while (hopped on the keracare train months ago, choo choo!).

I used this before, on recommendation from a stylist. It smells great but it just sat on my hair. I think it has petroleum or mineral oil in it, neither of which have ever worked for me.

Same here. I have a jar of this in my stash and I used it once.

I am keeping it though to try to find a good use out of it. It was not the cheapest hair item I have purchased.

It did make my hair nice and moist but I think I put too much on. :ohwell:

I use the nighttime & the regualar Mizani Rose H2o, especially after a relaxer, both are amazing. Although expensive they are well worth the price!

Supergirl,

This stuff sounds great. I am having good luck with my new (and cheap) Pantene comb-in product, but this sounds like a good option as well.

I've been having breakage, especially when my hair is wet. And this is my third year of being careful with my hair--little heat, more moisture, and less manual abuse. But alas the breakage continues. I have stopped getting totally straight perms, and am gradually trimming the weak and weary bone straight ends off. I'm almost positive the breakage is occuring where the weak hair and the more texturized hair meet.
