What is "long hair" to men?

As long as it is touching the shoulders, to most men they consider that long.

I would say CBL and beyond. My hair is currently in limbo between CBL and APL. Last summer I was complaining about feeling hot and my brother looked at me and said, "Well duh! It's because your hair is so long." I was like 
I don't know why but it really tickled me. My hair is nowhere near long but he acted like I was crazy for not making the connection.

My SO said WL then switched to BSL/MBL. Shocked by that but whatev. LOL.

IDK, I think before I joined this forum, I would have considered SL, CBL long, and I think by the time my hair gets to that point, most of the people around me will consider it fairly long.
Unfortunately, now that I've so graciously been introduced to a little thing called hairrexia, I don't really consider anything less than full APL long. Course by the time I get there, I most likely won't consider that long either!

I think that men think hair past shoulder length is long. I mean true, full shoulder-length.
You can see my length in my siggy pic and every time I wear my hair down, many men tell me my hair is long. Sometimes I wear my hair down and I look around and realize I have the longest hair in the room, even in mixed settings. A lot of women just choose to keep their hair short.

My ex thought APL was plenty long on me, but my current SO's mom has always had BSL-ish hair, so anything longer than that (full BSL on up) is long to him.

Most of the black men I've encountered consider shoulder length and beyond to be long hair. I've noticed that some even assimilate shorter hair that is thick and full looking with longer hair (as opposed to broken off, thin shoulder length).

My answer would be APL.
I think because we're on LHCF, we're used to seeing BSL+ on black womenerplexed, but I know in my GA area here, local black womens hair rarely past SL. I'm serious.
So because I'm pushing BSL, guys I know consider my hair long, and often ask to see it straight (because I'm always airdried/natural)
But alot of women these days do prefer/choose to wear their hair short! so when its past SL,full 'n healthy.... folks take notice

A few days ago I told DH that I was going to cut my hair APL and he almost had a damn heart attack! Now I'm waist length so to lose all that length, to him, would be like me going bald. I think that at this point anything other than maybe mid-back length would be bald to DH LOL
ETA: I am NOT cutting my hair any time soon. I just like to torture him sometimes.
