Hair Rut Sistahs:

Sistahslick reminded me that pics are a good way to journal your ups and downs and that they can inspire even slow growers.

So I've added pics for 2006. I'm hoping that all my hair rut girls will do so as well if you haven't already.

Take a look, and I promise I'll try to be better w/ updating.

Thanks guys. :) The encouragment is what keeps us all motivated.
That's what I like about LHCF. We keep each other going.

JenniferMD, your album is one I stay in. You are like a little sister to me, and the hair is always slammin'.

Your hair looks GREAT Melodee. Can you please share your routine.

Thanks, girl. It's kind of simple, though I'm always spying new products to work with my dry, semi-fine hair.

I get touch ups once a season. Between time, I deep condition once every two weeks with either dominican conditioners like Miss Keys 10 en 1, or Emergencee (without the plastic cap). I try to stay under the dryer for 15 mins, but I get bored easily. But often, I get this done at a dominican salon.

I wash my hair once or twice a week in the winter, and two to three times when the weather is warmer. If I don't DC, I use Creme of Nature shampoo (if using a poo) and Aubrey's GPB w/o heat for ten mins. Often, I'll do an ACV rinse w/ distilled water for a last rinse. I usually use a creamy leave in (Pantene has good ones) or just plain ol' Emu oil to lock in moisture and bun it up.

At the dominican salon, I rarely if ever get it blown out completely. My hair is fragile, and my ends split easily. I go to an expensive AA salon for touch ups only.

For me, there is no magic formula. I just have to take it slowly, day by day. All the "magic" formulas seen to fail on me. My vits made me gain 10 pounds, so I stopped taking them. I am trying to eat healthier as well.

Hope this helps.:)
