Who's Using Jane Carter Solutions?

I got the travel kit this week. It has samples of everything. I've absolutely in love with the leave-in and conditioner. I'm not sure about the hair or scalp serum. Actually, the scalp serum tingles a little like it's doing something. :)

Anyway, if anyone's used the hair serum long term, let me know what you think. Did you notice any difference in your hair? How long did you use it? etc.

Thanks, ya'll

I've never used any of these products but I know they are good because my friend swears by this stuff! The ingredients are good too and they smell yummy but are a bit expensive.

Yeah, they aren't cheap, but the conditioners are just lovely. I haven't liked anything this much since I found Humecto. But I'm afraid to use products with cones in them when I'm braided. This would make a great substitute. They are actually about the same price.

Yeah that butter is the best. It leaves a wet shine on my hair.

Oh, and your braids had me calling the shop for a consultation. My hair is shorter now than the last time. But last time cost $200 and took 8.5 hours w/ two people working during the last 2 hours. I keep telling myself. No! Bad girl, no!

I just purchased the scalp serum, as soon as it arrives I will give a review. I had a hard time deciding between Jane Carter and the Renee Furterer stuff, but the pocketbook had me leaning more towards the Jane Carter. :D

At the suggestion of BeyondCute I have the nourish and shine also and it is absolutely wonderful. About a month ago I was having a serious issue with dryness on my scalp and that scalp stuff worked really well. I have also purchased the spray leave in conditioner and I really liked it.

Hi,

I'm in LOVE with the Nourish and Shine. It leaves my ends SO moist. I travel everywhere with my tub, and I apply it at least 3x per day to my ends. A little goes a long way.

I have the scalp oil (the leave in). I like it, but I cut it with jojoba and add more grapefruit, lemon & neroli essential oils. I do this b/c the rosemary oil in the scalp oil emits a smokey scent that I can't stand.

I use the Wrap & Roll, which is awesome, for my rollersets. It's the only thing I put on my hair before I roll it. (Except for my ends-I use a cream leave-in.)

I also have the hair serum, which I love, but only use after my roller sets, before wrapping.

I have the Hair Nourishing Creme on order. I plan on using it in place of my Cantu Shea Butter Leave In, which I use on my wet ends before I roll. I'm sure I will find other uses as well.

I have the shampoo, but it has SLS, so I rarely use it.

Since finding these post-shower products, I have my routine set. Elucence MB shampoo & conditioner, and Jane Carter Solutions for afterwards. All the products smell wonderful, and work exactly as promised. I can't recommend them enough!

I'm also ordering the travel kit for my trips to Florida & London.

Great! :) I'll be right behind you. I'm taking my braids down in about 2 weeks.

Nourish and Shine is easily the best butter (or anything) I've ever put on my ends. Ever! I leave the nape area braided with only my natural hair as a test of how my hair's doing and they ends are velvety smooth, soft and very strong. I'm definitely hooked on this one.

When I first opened it I had an MTG flashback. :lachen: But the smell faded fast so I wasn't worried.

I wasn't that impressed with the shampoo, but I never would have guessed it had SLS! That's ok tho, I love my PhytoNectar shampoo and can't imagine replacing it. But I was hoping to replace my mismatched products with just one product line. :ohwell:

I use the WHOLE LINE!!!!!!

This by far is the best line I've used. I use the shampoo (Although it has sulfates, it doesn't bother my moisture levels, I think the olive oil balances it out.) I use the conditioner faithfully to deep condition. I love this stuff and can't understand how I went on all these years without hearing about it. I have the Ladies of LHCF to thank.

I was using biolage, but biolage wasn't stopping my breakage and dryness. JC nipped it in the bud. I will gladly pay $8-20 a bottle for something that works and I kid you not this WORKS!!!. I read on her website about cones and glycerine not being good for our hair, and have since then got rid of my pureology (which for me was just expensive products not made for ethnic hair if you desire permanent moisture.........don't use pureology it has too much protein in just about everything and glycerine and cones kept me dry, same with biolage (just cones and chemicals). NTM (Too many cones and chemicals.) I stopped with NTM silk touch leave in because it has sodium hydroxide..........even mixed w/jojoba oil this stuff kept my hair dry and breaking, but Not Jane Carter's Nourish and Shine and Scalp Serum...........This stuff is HALLELUIA, HALLELUIA..........HALLELUIA, HALLELUIA, HAL--LE--LU--IA.

The Wrap n Roll (only use a small amount) is the only setting lotion that doesn't leave me crunchy. Her leave in is good also, I use this after washes and spray on during the week and seal w/jojoba to keep me moist, when I don't use the nourish and shine. Jane Carter is the BBBBBBBBOMB!!!!!!

I can't wait to try the wrap n roll. I use heavily diluted lotta body now, but I've never been happy with it.

Lottabody sucked for me too, soft the first 24 hours then I felt like I became dry later in the week. Wrap n Roll will leave you soft and increases the health of your hair. I find for my hair I don't need a lot of this since I use the leave-in................One pump does the trick for me.

My stylist is all about healthy hair and I just love the Wrap and Roll she introduced me to a couple of years back...only wrapping solution that left my hair soft, shiny, no itchy scalp, and best of all NO FLAKES!!!

I've been using nourish and shine for a couple of years and is the best moisturizer ever and excellent on ends. didn't care for the shampoo, it felt like the hair wasn't getting clean enough. the leave-in conditioner is great, as is the hair spray which has a nice hold w/o leaving the hair hard, crunchy and dry.

i freaking love jane carter. i switched to it becausei wanted to use more natural products and the line is always in essence magazine. i use:

the shampoo, it's really good. i don't have any coplaints.

the conditioner. i have used so many from humecto, biolage, redken, but it's the best. my hair is super moisturized right after.

the wrap and roll. this is the best product ever. i even use it for airdrying and my hair dries so soft.

nourishing cream. this is the best moisturizer on earth. i have such issues with hair grease but i love this stuff.

so what's the difference between the norishing cream and the nourish and shine?

I feel like the creme is more watery if that makes ANY sense  The butter isnt. The butter actually looks like butter while the creme looks like whipped cream. I like the butter better for my hair. When things feel too watery thy have a tendency to make my ends frizzy. I HTH...

Are the products in the travel kit for fine hair?

As near as I can tell she recommends using the Hair Nourishing Cream instead of Nourish & Shine on fine hair, but I can't imagine why. Nourish & Shine is not heavy. :perplexed

The travel kit includes: Scalp Noursihing Serum, Revitalizing Leave-in Conditioner, Condition & Sculpt, Moisture Nourishing Shampoo, Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner, Wrap & Roll, Hair Nourishing Serum, and Nourish & Shine

That's pretty much everything but the Hair Nourishing Cream and some of the lock and twist styling products.
