1 Year & 1 Month **PICS****

This is officially my 1st post since being a member of this great site. I have been transitioning for 1 year and 1 month now and it has been a knowledge experience. Up to 2006 I was natural then I texturized my hair and then just carried on doing so. Before that my natural hair was really thick and strong I rarely got breakage but once I texturized I just started to care less about my hair which caused a lot of problems like breakage, thin edges, and a lot of dryness.

Until I got on this site I didn’t know about Deep conditioning, protein treatments, and the correct way of combing hair or about natural hair products. May 2010 was the last time I texturized my hair and I regretted so I decided to go back to where I started (being natural), its been a little over a year and my hair hasn’t been this healthy in years, minimal shedding and my edges are growing back after using mega tek for 9 months I have so much baby hair lol but I love it. I feel that I have control over my hair and that’s a great feeling for me to have. :yep::yep:

I want to say thank you all for sharing the tools and knowledge I needed to understand my own hair and for the advice yous have always given, I’m really grateful, Thank you my hair sisters :blowkiss:

Here are some pictures of my progression, length wise my hair was growing until I went to a scissor happy hair stylist and she took quite a bit off. I only went to her because I was going to a wedding but I will not be returning to her ever again. The only thing I haven’t figured out yet is what hair type I am I have enough NG but I just can’t work it out. Can any1 tell me what type i might be?

Sorry for the essay lol. Here are the pictures

1st picture was taken 2010 July – As you see my hair was really dry and brittle. My edges were disappearing due to the lack of care. :nono:

The other pics were taken throughout my HHJ :yep:, My hair grew strong and healthy. The last two pics were taken today, its the 1st time i used a banana clip and i love it :spinning::spinning:

xxxx Thanks for taking the time to look and for your feedback xxxxxxx

Is the last picture on wet hair or dry hair? If the 2nd picture is 100% dry with no product I would say 3c. It looks like you have more of a zig-zag "Z" shape versus an actual coil/curl. The last picture looks like your hair is wet, so I couldn't really say.

Can anyone else chime in and give an opinion?

Overall, your hair is gorgeous and thick! Congratulations on your Natural-anniversary!

HHG!

I hate to say this, but I don't think there is a hair type that fits what I see in your hair--cuz I see it in mine. Shallow wave pattern, no coils. That may be why very few people are guessing. Also, you hair is growing in really nicely, and that's all people care about! Congrats on the healthy hair growth--and many morrrrrre!
