You know what, once I learned how to care for it and what to expect from it, I really do:yep: - mixed textures and all.

I love my hair (my natural texture and relaxed) but i would love it more if i could be at least bsl. I also love its thickness, color, shine, and ability to hold a style.

Yes & no. Don't get me wrong, I looove my curls, but sometimes I wish my hair were looser[like 3a or 2b] & was able to stay straight in the Summer. I do love the thickness of my hair though. :]

im relaxed but i do like the texture of my new growth (4b) however, im not willing to cut off all my hair and go natural but if had the choice when i was younger i would have never got a perm.

I like my texture and I'm learning to love it the more I work with it. I'm mainly 4a with some 3c and sometimes I have hair envy. Not based on hair type so much but length and thickness.

i have good days and bad days. there are days i love twirling my fingers in my twist outs, and rubbing the tight waves at the front of my head when i slick it back with gel or moisturizer, and i love noticing i've trimmed enough of my texlax away to the natural hair that the ends are now curling up on their own. but there are the other days when any moisture in the air wreaks havoc on my style, i end up with this frizzy, fluffy, tangly mess. or the fact that i'm still trying to achieve that shine to my hair i had that ONE time two years ago; when i remember i wasn't natural then. and the fact that it grows so friggin slow and is dense but fine.

i voted 'it's aight'.

I dunno...I have great days and days when I want to hide it. But I am also thankful that I have hair on my head.

I love my texture. I just wish it were longer! Ugh, once my hair hits APL in it's natural state, you won't be able to tell me nothin' lol. I think it's probably 3b/3c I don't know.

I love my hair..that's for sure! I've when it's in braids..I like to play with my new growth. The only thing I wish was that I didn't have this heat damage and that my hair was a little thicker. I know once my hair is down my back..I will love it more!

I actually enjoy my hair's healthy and length more then the actual texture. Even though everyone said I looked cute with shorter hair, I'm just not a fan (on me) of hair shorter than SL.

Now if I could learn to love my shrinkage a little more I would be all set.

I voted it's Aight.... Truth is I wish my hair was a different texture... I have the kinkiest 4z hair you can imagine... Hard, and unruly... Been natural last 3 years and I have had a lot of setbacks and may need to cut off half of it (press and curl mishap ruined at least 6 - 7 inches, weave mishap, blowdrying mishaps, manipulation mishaps) .... I had really nice relaxed hair so I'm kinda biased.. My relaxed hair was perfect, then I caught the natural bug....

I know that God made everyone and everything perfect, so I'm sure my hair texture is perfect in God's eyes (and in our eyes too because we are made in his image).. However, I am yet to see what God sees as perfect for our hair.. because we have been so corrupt with the world's definition of beautiful hair.

I've been thinking about it, and my hair texture is perfect for cornrows and dreadlocks and all the amazing styles that come with it. Also perfect for a once fro (looks amazing but the tangles are just evil).... Maybe the style for 4zzzz hair like mine is cornrows, twists and dreads... If that's what God intended (i'm thinking so now.. lol) .. Then I have perfect hair.

Now that was just a mini-rant because I have been frustrated a lot.... I know products that work for my hair, I'm still trying to get the technique down cos I've been relaxed my whole life.... For now, I plan to cornrow my hair till I get to my waist... Currently at APL.

@ the bolded, well said.

I also voted that it's aight. I like that it can hold certain styles but I don't like that I have to do so much for it just so it can retain length. My eyes glow green when I find someone who has wl hair and only moisturizes with shea butter. No deep conditioning, no baggying, no growth aids. Here I am doing yoga, spending money to find products that work, looking up ingredients, etc etc.

Perhaps I'll like it more when it's longer but as of right now, my texture is virgin Indian straight. When the time rolls around to take it out I'll be processing it to a kinky straight and putting it right back in. This will be the pattern until I reach my goal of bsl, straightened.

I'd love my hair if it was thick or dense. Since it's not... I'm just happy to have some on my head.

I love my hair texture, but i still sort of have "but what are we going to DO with it?" attitude towards it. I just don't see myself as an afro gal (although, if I were in my 20's or 30's in the 1970's I would be Foxy Brown--Pam Grier the actress--not the skank raptress).

On a side note, the teen that was staying with us for the summer said something that broke my heart. She has beautiful thick 4a hair, but struggles because she heat styles like crazy (blows it straight with no washing/conditioning, uses cheap drugstore products). She insists she "loves her hair" and just wishes it was longer. But one day she said "it's like it's cool...but it's not pretty." :nono:

It's Aight. I would love my hair more if it were longer and more uniform. But I do love how fast my hair texture dries.

When I first started transitioning I didn't like my hair. But, that was because I had no idea what I was doing. Once, I learned what my hair likes I learned to love it.

Not in particular, I just love having a whole lot of it & I do love my styles. If I had the choice, however, I'd like something with more of a natural shine/less shrinkage

It's alright. I don't have that much (about 8-9 inches) and I'm 4a/b and it shrinks like crazy but I'm trying to learn how to style it!

I love my hair. I didn't realize how much I loved it until I put this wig on. Other people may be feeling the wig but it just doesn't feel as divalicious as my fro.
