I also like Cantu Shea Butter No Drip Hair & Scalp Oil!

I just don't like the hard plastic container that it comes in. You can't squeeze it, you have to shake it out, take off the top, and squeeze really hard to get some out of it

I use Liv and Silk Elements when I'm pressed. I live in Ga, though. Although I may start incorporating Liv in my curly styles as well. Mineral oil is not the debil I once thought it was:yep:

Avocado butter is my grease. I use it on the length and ends only when my hair is wet or damp.
I used to seal with grease (petrolatum) and it has always been good for sealing the moisture in for 5 days. Never used it on my scalp.

Not doing too much to my scalp right now but if I use grease I use Sophia's old fashioned hair grease by My Honeychild.

I used this last night on my scalp and length

This is the first time I've greased my scalp in a very long time, but I wouldn't mind incorporating it in my reggie more

I haven't used grease in my hair in about 12 years. I only wear my hair down and I like it to swing and bounce so I stay away from the grease..... My grandmother has a jar of Blue Magic on her dresser, so everytime I see it I open it up and sniff it...... I still like the smell of it.

To this day I hate BM because I am a natural blonde(ash blonde) and when I was younger (my hair was lighter blonde) it used to make my hair look green. My family thought is was funny lol.

Sulfur 8 1x/wk scalp only.

I don't know if Ultra Sheen Satin Pres is grease but it seems to keep my coarse hair in my crown area moisturized. I have been using it for about three weeks now.

You know what I miss in Allways Indian Hemp Medicated, it had a cream texture and I loved it for my hair because it was so light.

Nature's Blessing Hair Pomade, baby :yep:. Not using it at the moment, but would still highly recommend it. Same consistency as blue magic, but full of good stuff like chlorophyll, sage, nettle, and rosemary....AND it's petroleum free.

Love this stuff :)

Yes I purchased some of this stuff because of this thread. I never was a big grease user but every once in a while I will grease my scalp if it feels dry. Which is usually in the winter. I've also used it on my ends with great results. I'm thinking of using Sulfur 8 1x or 2x's a week for growth. My mom and aunt say it helps with hair growth. So I figure it wont hurt to check it out.

When I was relaxed and in high school, I used this when my nape and edges broke off from relaxers and heat damage. It brought my hair back in about a month. :yep:

I also used it as a natural, after I had my daughter and had major shedding, it helped to bring my edges back, I always recommend this to people who are experiencing major breakage.

Right now I'm using just about every grease from softee, Blue Magic and Ultra sheen. I just alternate them after every wash. My hair is super strong, and no shedding or breakage at all. :yep: It helps to slick my edges really well also.

I won't be using grease but I've stopped using Scurl and have start using Lustrasilk Right On Curl Curl Activator, it does not have alcohol and it leaves my hair really soft.

I am seriously thinking about going back to grease. My mother only used grease in my hair when I was a child and I had the longest hair in my family. As long as it is washed and conditioned weekly I dont know the harm it could cause.

See and that is what I have been thinking. I didn't have the longest hair but it was healthy and it was pretty long and thick...I am just tenderheaded and momma showed no mercy. Lol!

I haven't in years but I'm contemplating starting up again. It was a practice in my household growing up so before LHCF whenever I felt like I wanted to do something good to my hair I would grease my scalp and I don't know if it was all my head or what but I remember my hair feeling instantly stronger and healthier after. Sulfur 8, Kuza Indian Hemp, Allways and African Pride were my go to greases.

I bought some Softee and Blue Magic this past weekend and used some and my hair feels much more moisturized than when I use just oils. My mom used grease on my hair when I was a kid and my hair was long and thick. So, I figured what the heck and I tried some grease on my hair this past weekened when I did my flat twists. My haor feels much more moisturized from using the grease that all those oils. We shall see. Raw Shea Butter is okay, but idk this here grease is a hit thus far.

I love grease, and I don't care what Oprah says, up until I got a billion dollars to spend on fancy shea coconut palm butters, I am going use what I know works. Sufficating my scalp has worked just fine so far, maybe my scalp does not like all that extra air. Cause my hair grew with daily swimming, daily sulfate shampoo, and grease. Vasaline, dollar store olive grease daily with my hair styled in four Cealy plaits, which I redid monthly.

My favorites BB pine tar, glover's mane grease, ampro pro styl marcel wax, murry's wax grease, Dax lanolin, dax tea tree cream and Dax liquid wax

Dax Tea Tree cream Ingredients Daxensual Herbal Conditioners (purified water, tea tree extract jaborandi, aloe vera extract, chamomile extract, grape seed extract, jojoba extract, lavender extract, passion flower extract, rosemary extract) paraffin oil, sorbitan monostearate, micricrystalline wax, propylene glycol, poly sorbate 80, carbomer, lanolin, cetyl alcohol, petrolatum, simeth-cone, disodium edetate, methylparaben, propylpara-ben, diazolidinyl urea, dmdm hydantoin, fragrance, fd&c blue #1, fd&c yellow #5

This Dax tea tree cream is $3, best twisting cream ever.

Dax Liquid Wax Soybean oil, beeswax, tea tree oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, salicylic acid, jojoba, olive oil, canola oil, almond oil, menthol, vitamin e, bha, bht, corn oil, fragrance

I was forced to buy some BB super gro extra lite because my ghetto black owned beauty supply was out of my beloved BB pine tar, they were out of murray's so I had to get nu nile. Sold out of African pride Indian Hemp, and TCB, so I had to try wondergro max mega growth carrot oil, grandma's secret recipe will gro hair and scalp conditioner, and baby don't bald. My Dixie was sold out, and I got one of the last jars of royal crown. She said she will get my CJ walker greases in before christmas. I bet this thread is the reason, I can't find my ghetto grease in Los Angeles California. I hope ya'll don't start going after my throw back conditioner.

Has anyone ever used Grandma's secret recipe, baby don't bald or wondergro?

I consider it grease :yep:. It's my favorite one along with Qhemet's Amla Pomade. I am trying Claudie's Shea Pomade next. So I only use natural versions of grease without petrolatum or mineral oil. In the past I would grease my scalp but now I only use it on the length of my hair.

Still using Almond Glaze, Amla Pomade, and the Shea Pomade. I have added Hairitage Hydration's Peach Aloe Pomade. them all. I am now using these on my scalp and on the length of my hair. Not worried since they are natural and don't contain petroleum or mineral oil.
