Hey Ladies :drunk::drunk::drunk:

So I have decided that the reason that vitamins and growth aids don't work for me because I stick with them for only a month. :nono: Then I'm like omg this doesn't work!

But what I have learned from the Nioxin thread is that it takes TIME!! I also make a thread about this and the lovely ladies told me that it takes TIME! But when it does start working its really great!

So I am going to take the Biotin for 6 months straight! No breaks, no worries. I'm going to be consistent!

Is there a must have vitamin that I need to add to the mix? I'm thinking a multi or a HSN.

Anyone want to join me? Even if it is just one other person committing to take their vitamins EVERYDAY come rain or shine for the next 6 months. Then we can talk results in April. Of course we would keep it going for another 6 months. lol

I like to break things up.

I'm only taking 1000mcg of biotin in a supplement and wonder if that's enough. My skin broke out like crazy the fist week and a half I started. I'm afraid to take more...

well in july I started taking 12,000 mg of biotin. In august 19th i bumped it up to 15,000 mg and been taking daily ever since with super B- complex. I have yet to see any increase in hair growth, only nails. I also take iron, multivitamin, vitamin d, folic acid. Im going to continue and see what happens...

Lol I've been taking vitamins religiously since september:yep:. I actually I take a women's multivitamin for health (My immune system sucks, and then on top of THAT I'm anemic ) and then a biotion 5,000 since everyone on amazon was raving about how it helped their hair grow.

I just finished a hair, nails, skin bottle, and started a 5,000 biotin bottle this monday.

I'm down to ride for six months, in which I hope to make mbl!:yep:

when do we start ?

I’ve heard a lot of good things about biotin, Im SURE you will get good results.

I remember taking it a while back and I broke out, this is a common thing I hear about biotin so I’m afraid to go there again. I wish I know wonder why some people were breaking out, even when the were drinking a lot of water.

i did that in the first few weeks of my hair growth journey. i was so excited. the biotin broke my face out something awful. if i do it again i'll have to go down to 1000mcg

Yay!! I'm glad you ladies are on board! I'm going to start a separate thread called the 6 month vitamin challenge. It'll be cool! Even if its just a couple of us keeping eachother accountable.

I feel the official start date should be November 1st? So we're going from Nov to end of April.

For people breaking out, it means you need MORE water in your diet. When you up your water intake, the break outs will be eliminated.

I may join in, I haven't been consistent on my vitamins but I do put MSM and biotin capsule contents in my smoothies. I drink a liquid multivitamin as well that's real good for energy.

I'm in! I've never been good with vitamins, but I've actually stuck with MSM and Vitamin C since May... I really like it. I'll add Biotin to the fray to see how it goes...

Sounds good! Challenges keep me honest, even though I'm a major vitamin girl

I am in too. I have been taking biotin 10mg since september. I had major surgery in august, and my surgeon recommended it to prevent hair lost. I also take msm, vit c and b12.

I'm in
I've been taking 3,000 mcg of Biotin, 750 mg of MSM & Glucosimine & One a day woman.
Its been a month i think but I cant really say if i had "more" growth because i had it in protective styles since. But my nails grow like crazy and break just as fast.
I'm going to switch to HSN in January/December hopefully it has a high dosage of biotin and msm.:grin:
I also heard about Fingerprint Horsetail. So around December/January I'm going to try fingerprint horsetail and HSN.:grin:

Oh I really love the MSM my body has been feeling amazing!! I just wish i can get up a run a bit in the AM.

I'm in! I've been taking 2000mcg of MSM and a multivitamin daily for about a month now and just started Biotin a week and a half ago. The GNC guy said to start on 2500mcg for two weeks, then go up to 5000mcg by taking one pill in the morning and one at night. I'll be starting that strategy next week... For six months :).

I've been taking msm for almost a year now, and I just upped my biotin dosage a month ago. Before that, it was just included in a multi vitamin. I heard msm and biotin work well together. Oh, and they have been doing their thing on my nails and hair. I can't say for my skin, because I've alsways had great skin.

Mobile phones are sexy too. <3 IPad ain't got chiz on me.

ive been taking 1000mcg biotin&garlic supplements everyday to help combat my shedding since its due to my BCP, so i figured the only way for the shedding to stop is if i combat it internally.to combat it externally i do black tea rinses which have been helping also.
i cant say if its been breaking me out or not because ive been struggling wtih acne for the past 2yrs
my nails are growing fast[which is due to biotin] and my hair has been shedding less[which is prob due to the garlic]
im going to continue doing this hopefully the biotin makes my hair grown faster.i heard its also good for thickening the hair too
