S-Curl Moisturizer or Wave Nouveau Moisturizing Lotion?

I kinda stayed away from WN cause it had more cones but after experimenting with them both, hands down to WN. The smell is better and it seems to make my hair much more softer. What has been your experience with these products?

I have a mixture of 4a and 4b and I used S-Curl faithfully but it seemed like the moisture wouldn't last long. I finally tried WN and two days later my hair was still moisturized and soft. I was like DAYUM!!!!!!!!

I've used S-curl and Lustrasilk and found Lustrasilk leaves my hair the softest. S-curl is okay but didn't leave my hair soft just oily, but Lustrasilk leaves it soft with some moisture, okay lets be honest and say greasy, but it’s soft and easy to comb. Furthermore, if you are wearing a bun the greasiness does not matter. Once I go back to relaxing I'm going to use lustrasilk and Wave Nouveau to see which one leaves my hair the softest.

Wave Nouveau all the way! S-Curl did nothing for me and I need to find something to do with that almost full bottle :(

I vote for S-Curl. I have used S-Curl moisturizer and gel for Texturized Hair since 1995 on natural and texturized hair but never on relaxed hair. I have never tried the WN moisturizer. Since its getting colder I'll be using S-Curl daily instead of Ms. Jessies.

I never tried WN but S-Curl works great on my natural hair.

It works best on damp/dry hair and you don't need a lot.

I've been experimenting for the winter and found on wash
day:

1 pump of HE Long Term Relationship / 1 squirt of S-Curl
per section

along with sealing with Softee Indian Hemp then twisting
gives soft moisturized hair for daaaays :yep:

WOW! Thanks ladies. Looks like it's half and half. For some odd reason S-Curl didn't do much of anything for my hair. It was really weird. WN has been a life-saver, especially after doing protein treatments, cause we all know those can be a little drying. I was almost about to give up on protein treatments but now that I got WN.................I'm ready!!! Ladies thanks so much!!!!

I like WN for twists and braids, but it can leave a lot of build up on your hair. Sometimes, it feels sticky... S-Curl is my now and forever staple. It's never failed me. Even when it's cold, I put it on and then seal with a heavier moisturizer.

I've also used Curl Free Curl, but had a similar response to it as the WN.

I used to love WN but for some reason by hair is hating it right now. I get that it makes my hair feel wet all the time but my strands feel so dry. It almost like it just sits on my hair shaft just chillin. It feels like it never dries on my hair.

As for the S-curl, I doesn't make my hair feel wet all the time because it actually dries. when it dries, it makes my hair feel soft. So, I vote S-curl.

Hold on girlfriend, what happend? You done scurred me............LOL! I would like to hear your story though.

Brighteyes35 Sheed, where do I start.. bad hair practices, going to a salon that would encourage me to relax every 4 weeks, them using their own "home made relaxer" and me like a fool sitting there and letting them use this concoction on my new growth and coming it down to the ends, combined with stress and yeah, my hair pretty much fell out. I remember touching it sometimes and it would literally disintegrate in my fingers...you know like ashes...

anyway, back on track but it's still a struggle

Grrrrrl, your story sounds all too familiar. I am so glad I no longer go to salons like that. All I can say is thank ya Jesus for LHCF. Stylists have jacked me up more times than I care to remember. And like you, I sat there and let them do it. Why? Cause they were the stylist and I trusted them and thought they had my best interest at heart. I eventually learned that stylists have their pocket's best interest at heart. They don't care about you or your hair. If they did, you wouldn't hear so many grievances from sistas! Good luck though. I've been there done that and I know it is real frustrating!! I know youu will make it though. You are in good hands with LHCF!!!
