I just gotta give this duo props...First of all...I gotta admit it, I am still mad about the humecto in the bottle. It ain't do anything for my hair. Anyways, I just purchased the essential oils and the silken seal from a young lady on the product exchange board. I am very pleased. I used a dab of both before i blow dried. My hair came out the shiniest it's ever been and it has stayed moisturized for the past 4 days... My ends are very straight and have behaved for the past 4 days. Usually my hair start to dry, and frizz by day 2 after wash day. they both are a keeper! I will use these 2 as a leave-in instead of my usual Humectress and WGHO....

ITA- I finally use up my biosilk and went back to using silken seal. Oh why did I stray, my ends usually have this frayed look when I need a trim and touch up and it (plus the Keracare oil moisturizer) made it look and feel freshly done.

Im thinking about chuckin my ors olive oil and going back to using the creme headdress too:look:

Thanks for this thread! I've been pondering purchasing Silken Seal but haven't because I just don't want to spend more $ (especially $20! ) on a product that may or may not (usually not) work well. I have been using Humecto as a deep conditioner, a leave-in... And it hasn't done much for my hair! My ends, like Macherieamour's, look frayed and dry... I don't know if Humecto was the culprit but it surely did not help things. I'm going to purchase the Silken Seal tomorrow and work that with my bottle of Essential Oils that I've been trying to use up! Thanks Mizani_Mrs. for the post!

I used silken seal long ago but I didn't appreciate it. Now I got about 4-5 serums including silken seal. Silken is by far the best and now I'm going to give all my serums to my husband. I can't believe how smooth it kept my hair...for days.

macherieamour - this is all your fault......I just put silken seal down only "To Get" list.......

I currently use Giovanni shine serum and I love it, but I'm almost finish, so I guess I'll try this next.....

Silken seal is the best. I have not tried the essential oils though; Is it used as a moisturizer, leave in or what?

It is a heat protectant. You apply before you blowdry, flat iron, etc.. Use before you use heat.

The essential oil is good but I love the moisturizer w/ jojoba. I just ordered another 16oz bottle. I also decided to try the silken seal and the headress. I've used humecto and the dry itchy scalp conditioners, but I've since replaced them with aveda's damage remedy. I might go back one day, but right now aveda's doin' me right. :yep:
