What are your bad hair habits?

YES!!! Especially after I take out a twist and I am just too lazy to start the Looong wash and re-twisting project, and then, I don't have the patience to detangle as I should.

Sometimes I just walk around the house for days on end with my hair just all over my head like a crazy person. I don't moisturize, I don't comb, I don't wear a scarf at night...nothing. I just let it get dry, and tangled for no reason at all...

Not braiding or twisting my hair up and then putting a scarf over it. Sometimes I just put a scarf over it but my hair gets matted and all tangly and everything =/

My bad habit is staying consistent with protective style when my hair is not in weaves. Any other PS lasts about one week in my head. I have a few straight ends ( about 2-3 in max) from when I had a BKT a couple years ago. I grew it all out but there are still those few pesky strands of evidence of the treatment. When my hair is thriving and thick like is it in it's normal natural state, I am awesome at cowashing, bunning and all but when there are two different textures in my head :wallbash:. Those of you who transition, I give you the ultimate props:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:clapping::clapping::clapping:, I have been somewhat of a transitioner out of this BKT treatment and I can tell you that transitioning is NOT for me. I need hair that is all on the same level. That has been why I have used soo much heat because the strands with the BKT didn't revert back to curly, (BKT's are too strong for my hair) and my curly hair can get as straight as the hair with the BKT on it so I flat iron it to blend the two. This is my year though and Imma weave it up then cut off all the BKT strands. I am consistent with my vitamins, workouts and fairly consistent with my oils. I just have to keep my hair out of sight to retain everything that I grow....

I never deep condition or do protein treatments anymore to my hair, but I do switch off between moisture and protein based products which has helped majorly.

I also was falling asleep with claw clips or butterfly clips in my hair last year :nono:

Not wrapping up my hair at night (I'm in twists)

becoming impatient and ending my ps stretches early. I can hardly ever make it past 4 weeks. -- I'm working on this though. I'm on week 4 with these kinky twists, and I'm going to get the front redone and try to go another 4 weeks. Hopefully. lol.

Always pulling the twists into a ponytail. I def don't need breakage around the edges from the same ol style day-in, day-out

Pulling my hair back in a tight ponytail, I hate loose ponytails! Makes my head look bigger! Lol!
I also need to protect my hair better at night. I often wake up in the morning and my scarf has come off! That is a big contributor to my dryness.

I comb my hair everyday. Wearing my hair out and down just about everyday. I just started doing protective styles consistently for the past two weeks.

Constant hands in hair: Twirling the curls when I wear a wng and running fingers through when it's straight. I don't always wear a bonnet/scarf @ night. I don't protective style or deep condition.

I pull at my hairline (twist and untwist repeatedly) when I'm concentrating on something. If anyone figures out the cure to hand in hair, let me know! I've tried the always have hair covered with a headband and satin bonnet and it has not worked.

I now cut my ssks, but have grown scissor happy and am just cutting anything that feels rough (I neeeed to stop this. I'm hiding the scissors y'all.)

This thread basically proves that you can have bad habits and still retain length! lol thank you ladies. :) Not that I didn't know that anyway but confirmation is always welcomed.
