Ok..I have been stalking this product because I'm searching for new product to assist on my waist length hair quest.I'm trying to hit my goal by may! This product rocks..it didn't give me the best slip ever like my fave La bomba dc so i figured there must be some protein. After my RS ,blow and wrap my hair was super shiny and stronger.I'm now currently stalking the leave-in but might just use La bomba since I have heard such good things about it.I think I'll mix a bit of La bomba with the BOE for a little more slip.Anyway I'll report on my hair growth progress with this product.I'm currently lower back length now.

Honestly, I've eyed this conditioner for about 4 months now..so its good to hear a review! How was the smell? It is a mixture of moisture and protein right?

Is this a dominican deep conditioner? If so I prefer either the Nunaat deep conditioners or the Baba de caracol deep conditioners that produce a good slip. Does the conditioner contain the ingredients behentrimonium sulfate/chloride or centrimonium chloride... I find that these ingredients will produce the "slip" that you are looking for.

I love the smell of this product. I read on some Dominican forums that it makes your hair grow. I used the deep conditioner, shampoo and leave-in.

I used up all the products but didn't notice any growth but I wasn't consistent and I used it with a lot of other products. I did like the condition of my hair.

I saw the barba de caracol and i almost got that one but it only said to leave it in for 1-3 minutes and the crece pelo stated 10-15 minutes so i t got that one instead but im a true pj so im sure ill end up picking it up sooner:) i think eventually i could use all dominican products i am currently waiting on my alter ego garlic treatment to come via amazon:)

I'm a BIG fan of Crece Pelo and La Bomba Avocado conditioners. Have been using them for over three years for sure maybe longer. I find that Crece Pelo makes my hair VERY, VERY soft and gives pretty darn good slip. Maybe not the best slip ever, but it does give you some slip.

There may be some truth to the statement that it makes your hair grow. My hair has grown pretty fast in the last few years (faster than the 1/2" a month norm). As I recall, the product contains essential oils including rosemary, which is known as a hair stimulant. I use Crece Pelo fairly often, not every wash, but at least 2-3 times a month under a cap for at least 10-15 minutes while I finish showering. So this MAY have contributed to the quicker hair growth.

I believe I recall someone on this board saying that you should use the Crece Pelo rinse after the conditioner for extra slip.

I've been DCing with this for months, and my hair has never been better! It leaves my hair so soft and moisturized, it's ridiculous. The smell reminds me a little bit of lotion, but that's just me. And I love that a little bit goes a long way. I bought a 16 oz jar in September and I'm only a little more than halfway through it. And trust me, I slather this stuff on my hair like there's no tomorrow. But then again, I do only wash once a week, and I'm APL, so someone who washes more often or has longer hair would go through it more quickly. But my main point is that this is a very good moisturizing DC.

ETA: Has anyone tried the rinse that comes after the conditioner? I've been meaning to try it to see how that works as well.

These are the ingredients:

Ingredients: Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Steary Alcohol, Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone Keratin, Ceramide, Silk Protein, Hydrolized Protein, PEG-50, Poliquaternium, Parsol, Glycerin, Cetrimonium Chloride, Citric Acid, Diazolindinyl Urea, Fragrance.

Extract & Natural Active: Laurel, Nettle, Amica, Bardana, Watercress, Calendula, Ivy, Manzanilla, Lemon, Pine, Romero, Capuchina, Salvia, Tioxolona, Milk of Cotton and Fribo Active.

I know that romero is Spanish for rosemary, but I'm not sure about some of the other ones, like Tioxolona or Capuchina.
