I saw an informercial the other night and I'm dying to try this thing. Anyone else has tried it???? What are your thoughts? The infomercials consisted of girls who sent in home videos and to my surprise there were a lot of sistas who sent in videos.

Yeah I have it. I use it on my girls only once so far but I actually love it. I am transitioning them & they like it as well bc they say it doesnt "BURN" them like the flat iron does lol (steam they are feeling) Ummm it left their hair silky soft (including the new growth part) & str8 for at least 1 1/2 weeks. I could have kept it str8 longer bc it still looked great but we are weekly washers so I went ahead & washed. Their hair was nice I must say. Next time I do it I will take before & after pics & post them for comparison. Now it doesnt get hair bone str8 but I guess it could if you did more passes. It got it pretty darn str8 with alot of volume. I did only 1 pass per section (small sections) Might try it on myself this weekend though. Good luck on your decision and HTH!

I bought one on sale from Hautelook. It definitely takes a bit of practice, especially since it only rotates in one direction so you need to know how to use it with both hands (unless you actually can change the direction and I haven't found out how yet) but my hair came out very smooth and shiny. And like HairPleezeGrow said, I don't get the steam that usually happens with a curling iron.

The best thing I ever had!!! Because if the brush bristles your hair will be thoroughly combed and smooth. I love the feather look it gives. Because of the ceramic barrel there is no heat damage. I only need to run through my hair once out twice but mostly twice. And it can be used on ALL hair textures!!! I really need to buy myself one. Lol being that I was using a friends pretending it was mines for ten months.

I tried it on my daughter's natural hair and was not impressed. I returned it (bought it at Target). Shame because we were excited to try it. Since others who have posted so far have liked it, I'd suggest buying it from somewhere you know you can get a full refund in case you don't like it.

The first video looks like she didn't do anything to her hair.

I'm intrigued about the product but the brush scares me. I don't brush my hair at all due to potential breakage - I wonder if this is any better.

I think her hair was really damaged, the poor thang.

Okay so I ordered the Instyler and right now they have a special going where you buy one get a second one for free. They have one with a smaller barrel so I chose that one as my free one. I'll report back on the results but I really hope I'm impressed with it.

I don't have the new version but got the original three years back. Loved it. The trick was really making sure you're not running it though a large grouping of hair, otherwise you didn't get that flyaway light feeling.

I lost mine so I'm debating getting the newer version, especially now that they have the smaller size barrel.
