Ladies,

Why is it that my hair seems to dry sooooo fast, step out the shower an it's starting to dry.

I am relaxed, I don leave it on long o my hair has a little texture as it's fine

But I remember before the journey I was relaxed Bone straight I guess and I would take hours!!!!

I am completed dry in 40 mins, or less under the dryer!!!

Jus wondered, anyone else have random questions they know the girls can answer

Is she low or high porosity? I still don't understand this fully because my hair has characteristics of both. Not to hijack ( sorry OP) but water forms beads on my hair when wet, but my hair also dries pretty fast.

for you, sounds like low porosity.

For OP, we need more info on the hair to know. Both low and high porosity can make the hair dry fast because either the water is leaving the hair too fast (high porosity) or the water is not entering the hair shaft (low porosity)

I have fine 4a relaxed hair no issues at all, I relax no sonner than 11 weeks with a lye mild, I am approaching bra-strap. Ideally I conwash 2x week and deep con once a week ORS deep con, I use a light protein every other week Apohogee 2 min.

Anything else u need to know just find it really strange!

Your hair sounds like how my hair used to be. I was doing everything you are doing, co-wash, deep conditioning, protein, I hardly used heat and relaxed like every 10-13 weeks.............so why was my hair 90% dry after I was done detangling?? Yeah, it was bad. I did the porosity test using the water in a glass. The rules are you fill a glass up with water. If your hair stays on top, you have low porosity. If it sinks to the bottom you have high porosity and if it stays in the middle it's normal. I took a few shredded strands dropped them in a glass of water and most of them went straight to the bottom with a few staying in the middle. After diagnosing the problem I knew I needed something acidic to close the cuticles so I tried the apple cidar vinegar rinse and it made my hair worse. So then I tried Roux Porosity Control and so far it's the only thing that has helped. I've been using it for about a year now. I saw improvement with time. If you are low porosity then you need something with a high alkiline level to open those cuticles. Like maybe a baking soda rinse?? But research that before you plunge in cause I've never tried a baking soda rinse.

low porosity as already mentioned kizzylonghair. I have low porosity and blogged about it in my LHCF blog. Roux PC is not for those with low porosity. It closes the cuticles more and those with low porosity are already experiencing closed cuticles. Roux just closes the cuticles further.

When I first started out I used Roux once a week, now I just use it sporadically. Maybe like twice a month. I'd say I saw an improvement within two weeks and things were looking a thousand times better after a month. I used the Roux Porosity Control Shampoo and Conditioner. I used Crack hair cream as a leave in whenever I used Roux.
