I know everybody has different hair goals and for different reasons. And I know people alot of people have been different hair lengths through their lives. I just thought I would start a fun little thread seeing what people thought was the best length of hair and why?

Personally I think WL is the best. I think its long enough to swang it. And I think WL hair is really feminine. You can do all types of styles with it without much of a problem and bad hair days can be easily covered up. I also believe that anything more than WL and I would go crazy from how much hair I would be forced to take care of. :nono:

I think BSB would be a good length - WL to me seems like too much hair, but then I know people change their hair length goals as they get closer to them, so who knows what I'll be saying in a year's time.

I think somewhere between BSL and MBL would be good. To me, WL and beyond just seems like too much hair.

I can't speak on what is the best hair length for others, but for me I like relaxed bob or pixie length and for natural, BSL is the best hair length.

Now, that I'm grazing WL, I think I may want Hip length, or at least W-Hip. I love BIG buns, and they require longer lengths. Also, I love the feel of my hair on my back when I wear it down.

My present goal is WL, and at first seemed to me to be the best. But now that I'm grazing BSL, I can't get flashes of HL hair out of my mind.

I probably wouldn't want anything past MBL. MBL is gorgeous, but after that I feel like it'd be too much to take care of and it'd just piss me off lol. My goal is APL, but I've considered changing it to BSL or BSB.....we'll see ^_^

I think nice bouncey curls are so sexy which is why I want APL in the front and BSL in the back. I do think some women would look better with shorter hair (shorter than waist and hip).

^^^Yep:giggle: that's what happened to me. I set an original LT goal of BSL to MBL as my 3 year goal b/c I wanted to be sure natural hair that length was going to be manageable to me. Now that I see it is, I plan to get to MBL 100% natural which would be WL or longer straightened:yep:. I def have no plans for going beyond that for right now though. I'm too short for more hair than that IMO:look:.

for me it would be MBL...not too long and not too short. I also think I that's the longest I can manage my hair at.

I also feel my hair would look best in braid outs at that length...since it will probably be past SL in that style.

Even before I discovered haircare forums, I always felt bsl was ideal. I believe the apl-bsl length is the most versatile and flattering for most women.Truth be told hair beyond the bra strap is not flattering on everyone. The majority of folks won't look their best at the extreme lengths-super short or long.
I believe very long hair past mbl tends to look best on tall, slender women. Waist length and beyond is always impressive to see but depending on the woman,I don't necessarily find it most complimentary to one's look. On certain ladies, super long hair can drag the whole face down or dwarf stature. I'm thinking in terms of straight hair as I think it's easier to pull of longer textured looks.

Waist length, because it covers your breasts, and I want my hair to be a true "covering". "But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering" ICorinth11:15. Hair is beautiful at that length: straight, in curls, or kinky.

I chose WL in the poll but I would choose MBL-WL. I just look better with longer hair and it fits my body type. Shorter hair accents my skinny frame for some reason which is not cute on me lol.

IF I was relaxed, I'd say full waist length. Since I'm natural with shrinkage, I think hip length is the perfect length for me. Whether or not I'll be able to deal with that much hair is up in the air. We'll see by the end of 2013.

WL-HL for me, with layers in the front and a V or U shaped hemline. Once I get to TBL, I plan to trim back to HL and then maintain between WL and HL.

Its a tie between Full WL & HL in a U shape. Ideally I'd like my braid/twist outs to fall a little past BSL. I have a chunky face so longer hair thins it out.

MBL. It's long enough to be striking, but not so long that it's a big hassle.

I'm aiming for HL because I like lots of hair, but if I were to only make it to a healthy MBL, I'd accept that with gratitude lol.

WL to HL my first goal is to achieve WL my final goal is HL only because I'm natural and have insane amounts of shrinkage, as someone mentioned upthread, I'd love for my braidouts and twistouts to fall at BSL.

Hmm.. This is something I hadn't thought about before. I'm 5'4", short-waisted with longish legs so I'm not sure what my ideal length would be. In my mind MBL would be perfect though WL sounds awesome.

I like the look of MBL but voted WL because I like full hair so I usually make soft curls when I straighten my hair. My hair will probably need to be WL to look MBL when styled.

I used to want to be APL curly, but now I'm thinking more like BSL curly...and I'm thinking that would mean WL+ when it's straight, most likely. IDK. Shrinkage is tricky.

I chose WL even though I'm far away from that goal....I think its just something about hair that can cover my entire back lol...ill be rockn braid/twistouts and wash n go's everyday.

I wear my hair wavy/curly most of the time. I'm currently BSL with curly hair and MBL with straight hair. I'd love to be MBL with curly hair. I think my straight hair would need to be WL for that to happen.
