The reason why a lot of women on bhm keep their vendors a secret is because once its revealed a lot of people run to purchase from that vendor and then when the vendor gets a high volume of requests their quality starts to go down.

Hmmm, Yea I have my own theory regarding that.

trendsetta25, please direct me to vendors with better quality for less. I have tried Indique and ONYC and am not pleased. Both (especially Indique) sheds like crazy!

Rastafarai- wow really?! I love my Indique purchases. Its pricey so I won't be buying again for a long time, but I actually thought it was worth every penny. No shedding or tangling for me, so I'm surprised to hear that. But I did seal the hair and didn't cut the wefts which probably helped.

Some women on bhm don't mind sharing, just not publicly. The above does indeed happen. BHM has lurkers like nobody's business and yeah, it can kill a vendor. I think a lot of it is the "I had to take the hard path and you need to as well" mentality though. It's just that board's culture. It used to irk me.

Interesting marketing. I have not purchased weave in a couple of years and never paid more than $200 for 8 ounces (Adorables.com in NYC - Spanish Wavy blended 2/4/8 color). It was not virgin hair though which I suppose is worth a premium if you want to custom color and custom process the curl pattern.

I've heard that Extension Plus relaxed texture is great hair, but I have never tried it.

EbonyCPrincess, perhaps cutting the wefts is what caused all the major shedding? I have the organic curl installed and my stylist had cut my wefts. I sealed my hair beforehand too (Hair Extensions 101 weft sealer). I just wasn't expecting THIS much shedding!

Indique is also getting ridiculous with their recently price hike. :nono:

Rastafari AH, ok. I haven't even been on their site lately, so I haven't seen the new prices. But with all of their promo and press (Love & Hip Hop and others) I am not suprised. I think they will be another Extensions Plus...whom I have not and won't buy from anytime soon because their hair is just ridiculously expensive IMO. Maybe when I'm finally done with school and more financially stable. This is why I say while my previous purchase was totally worth it, I'll be riding that hair out til the wheels fall off. I refuse to spend all my lil pennies on hair right now!

However, I do think its getting ridiculous with everyone constantly searching for the next best hair, vendor, texture, etc. I mean to be real...its hard to tell now what is authentic and what isn't. You can buy from AliExpress and get a great product, or get garbage...then as soon as people start buying from that vendor all of a sudden their prices shoot up. I'd rather just find a good supplier - I'll pay moderately high prices - and have a consistent product. All the time and energy doing research I need to be spending growing me real hair! *so over it* if you couldn't tell! lol!

I actually went to the event on Saturday!

It was nice being able to hand pick my hair. Arjuni hair is lovely. It's no more costly than some of the other brands. I love how you can buy it by the ounce instead of by the bundle.
