Possible Dupe For Daily Defense Tender Apple Conditioner

I was at Big Lots today and look what I found.

Years and Years ago, when I cleared out the DDTA at the 99 cent store, I picked up a few bottles of the DD Water Lily and the only difference I noticed was the smell.

The ingredients for the new bottles include botanical oils in addition to the ingredients in the old bottle.

I wonder how many members around here still remember DDTA! It was HTF when I joined and a nice member sent me a box of it. I'll keep my eye out for this one for sure. Thanks!

WHAT????!!!! I remember writing to them begging them not to discontinue it. They just didn't have enough sales. DDTA was the bizness! So you are saying the ingredients are the same but the smell is different?

Big lots huh? :look:

I remember it! I cleaned out the last few bottles they had at National Wholesale Liquidators years ago. That stuff was so great.

DDTA was a cheapie conditioner that had the thickness of higher end brands, provided alot of slip for detangling and smelled good.

When it was popular it was like getting a $20 bottle of Nexuss product for 99 cents.

I still have a bottle of original ddta and snatched up a couple of those bottles from Big Lots a couple months back to see how they compare. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm back to cowashing almost daily so I'll give them a try soon.

I tried the Strawberries and Cream conditioner last month it does not even compare to original formulas.
There was not enough moisture and slip for my hair and it felt coated.
The VO5 conditioners are gives best results than this brand.

I remember Clairol using the low sales excuse back when there was a mighty uproar over discontinuing the line. I had a hard time believing their reasoning because it was such an "It" product back then and was popular among people of all hair types. If the online hair community back then had the kind of influence that it does now, I bet Clairol wouldn't have discontinued the product.
